I spent years playing driver one and still do, and it's still my favourite driver game. Parelell lines became my second favourite.

    but I've played them all.

Though, when it comes to driver... I dunno who said it but they're right, the scale of game difficulty as follows, getting harder as it goes on.

    Nintendo games
    Everything else
    Dark Souls

    FTL Normal
    Europeran extreme

    The first level of Driver
    The last level of Driver

Probably why I love driver so much. I have stockholm syndrome.

I've played Driv3r (Driver 3), Driver Parallel Lines and Driver San Francisco and I think all of them are great, even by today's standards.

I've played all the Driver series. I must say that is the WORST game name to use on the internet. it's kinda hard to find anything related to the game, instead of video drivers.

Probably why most titles had a subtitle or a unique thing about the name. Driver 1 was Driver: You Are the Wheelman in some countries, while Driver 3 was famously Driv3r.

I used to play Driver 2 on my dad's old Playstation, now I play on an emulator on the PC if I feel like it. Never heard of Driver 3 though.

Driver 2 was ok, Lagged like hell on PSX, Was playable with an emulator though.
Driver 3, AKA Driv3r, Was a GTA knockoff in a way. The PS2 version feels ghostly lonely with the lack of diversity and the creepy BGM.

Good place to start, really it's a balance between the original game and the later games in the series.

driver 3 is an interesting game. i think as a game it failed in most ways and as a whole is a crap game, however i still like it and think its cool. it had a cool story and the production was very good. the shooting was garbage and the controls were hardly usable. the driving could have been much worse tho. in its own way its a classic.

Gonna look into getting a few more Driver series games this current year, and get Driver SF back on my Windows 10 Machine.

Should be pretty sweet when I get it back now that I am running better hardware.

I have played just about all of the major Driver games from the first one all the way up to San Francisco, and I can definitely say the earlier Driver games are definitely notoriously hard and frustrating to say the least. But what kept me interested in them was my fascination with vehicle damage at the time and it's pretty funny how the traffic cars in particularly Driver 2 would just keep on driving even if they're on fire.

...I also have a small handful of gif images I made of the crazyness that would go on in "Survival mode" (On Driver 2) and would show how floaty and wonky the car physics was back then. Especially in survival mode where the police cars just don't give a flying hubcap about what happens to anybody as long as they can smash the heck out of the player car with sheer strength.
