I keep the mod packed and it's always worked fine for me. I would imagine it's an issue with old materials files somewhere.

How to install this mod? Everytime when i put the files into my documents - Beam ng driving - mods , nothing happens in Beam ng driving. Can somebody plase help me ?

Have you checked that you haven't split the zip file?

Hey you know, even if i like this mod a lot and would like to achieve the update asap, i have other priorities like satisfying my clients who commissionned me some work, and most important, my daughter is currently sick at home and this is my top priority, that she'll feel better and that i could manage to work to earn a life in the same time.
So as CrimsonCrocodile said, this is just a place to give some news, eventually post an update, but it's in no way a mirror reflection of what happens in real life regarding the mod achievment.
In fact, it's because i have an unconditional and crazy passion for cars that i'm still working on this mod. There is no rational reason to maintain it, it has so much parts and stuff everywhere
It should die, but for those reasons it doesn't

Welcome to the V1.5 of the Codename Oldsfullsize ADDON.

Instructions to read carefully :

You have downloaded the main file called oldsfullsize_codename.zip on the top of the page ?

This is an extended addon pack, not limited to Oldsmobile brand. You get now Chevrolet Caprice cars with it.

The new name is codename_american_fullsize_series.zip

- First of all please DELETE the PREVIOUS VERSION of the addon called oldsfullsize_oldsmobile_addon.zip
It is now broken and not compatible with the new oldsfullsize_codename.zip main file.

Also you'll mess up completly all the Delta 88 section if you keep the old Addon besides the new one.

Then download the new file addon on the bottom of this post, or on this big link :
DOWNLOAD THE ADDON PACK HERE

And save it in Mydocuments/beamng.drive/mods/

and you're done !

Description :

first of all, what you have to know is that cars are now separated mods. Here you have an overview of where to find them in the selector.

The number of presets is so big that it would have been insane to keep them into one car folder.

Features :

- Caprice Sedan and Wagon by Carface80 : He allowed me to use the Caprice and to modify it to my needs. So i made the Olds Wagon out of it, and also adapted those two Chevy to work properly in the mod.
Caprice are merged, interior and body panels are the modified original ones, then floor, engines and engine bay, drivetrain, frame are the same as the Oldsmobile mod.

- Beamstate : One interesting feature is the new "BEAMSTATE" part that allow cars to spawn pre-damaged.
It use a lua to load renamed vehicle.save.json in a specific location.
So beater can be damaged, many things are possible.

But this features have sides effects, you need to reload the car (Ctrl_R) to keep the windows broken, the car can't be rotated for a scenario, and other effects.

So if you don't like this, just remove the part from the car here :

- tailgate : Press O once to have it open from top to bottom, and O twice to have it open like a door.

- TV : On the Regency Limo only press O to open the TV door and play a video.
Lua by Thomatoes50 and jbeam by Bernd.
Sometimes the tv opening and video can be reversed so you can press R and O to make them match again.

- Wagon rear ride height control : In the tuning menu

- Armoured presidential Limo : This things weights 6 tons, and has bullet proof body and glass. Jbeam and idea by Synsol.

- Demo Derby wheels : Derby cars have very bad wheels painting, covering the tires :

You can choose the paint color for those, differently for front and rear, for both blackwall and whitewall tires.

Select bodycolored General Motors steel wheels. Then "Derby paint". Tires will be affected automatically. They will be painted and dirty.

- November 24th 2017 : West Coast USA update

- Sirens sounds and horns added
- many bug fixes that were reported since the release
- stronger front steering, wheels won't turn 180 inside the car anymore
- custom sounds made with Sbeam are back. I tried to use the new system but it's far from my abilities, and having the same sound for all cars is boring. Rusty, Diesel sounds are back, and softer sounds for the regular sedan. Sounds may be improved a bit to get more powerful sounds for muscle cars engines.
- Manual Gearboxes for all engines except dragster.
- added reliable engine for the rusty cars, as an option (not in the presets)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they came like that stock?

Also the Off-Road versions are already 4WD

Yeah, B/C-bodies were never sold with anything other than RWD.
That being said....you may have noticed that the AWD transfer case is available on the standard versions.

I have a suggestion maybe to make the oldsfulllsize more lore friendly and to mix it up can you add a roof like the Oldsmobile vista cruiser on the wagon version
