Progress update time! Since many people liked the V6 I decided to finish it and add to the mod. Finished V6 engine model, thanks to the prop transform tool I was able to easily reuse a lot of the models from the V8. Added 5 V6 engines that use this model: 229 CUI Buick Fireball V6 (Available on Caprice until 1985 only in California) 229 CUI Chevrolet 90° V6 (Available on Caprice and Impala until 1985 in all states except California) 231 CUI Buick Fireball V6 (Available on Delta 88, and Impala until 1985 only in California) 252 CUI Buick Fireball V6 (Available on Ninety-Eight since 1981) 262 CUI Chevrolet 90° V6 (Available on Caprice since 1985) Added gasoline fuel injection, standard on the 262 V6, but can be used on all engines Added new engine bay parts to fit the V6 engine Added some other small parts that I found on references
Because it takes a lot of time which is already limited by dev work, and also I know some other devs also work on mods, just don't like showing public progress constantly like me.
I made it possible to use the prototype headlight cover, taillights, engine color and interior color on the normal cars Did some more work on the wagon but still not enough to show, converting materials of it is a pain because they work fine in cs format but not in json for no reason
We have decided against making something like that. If it was just slapping some Gavril and Bruckell badges on the cars + removing real life brands from textures, that would be lazy and make no sense lore wise, and more than that would basically mean having 2 different mods to maintain, and would require design changes which would take a lot of effort and make the cars look worse most likely.
BeamNavigator, passengers, police parts, derby parts, stripped interior option, vanilla race seat and steering wheels support, fixed race gauges, and planning restomod modern race parts with digital gauges too
digital gauges, that sounds very cool but like custom digital gauges or the digital gauges that almost everyes vanilla beamg car uses and also chould you make a radiator variant thats in the trunk ? And if you are gonna make a custom digital gauge the c4 corvette gauges whould look really good in this car. I dont know if the gauge cluster whould be compatibilible with this car but its just a suggestion and i dont really know if it whould fit in it. or you chould use the oldsmobile toronado's digital dash and if you gonna make a rusty version with a digital dash make the dash lights faded.
I will just reuse the vanilla ones because idk how to make my own gauges, but if I knew I would make the digital gauges that were available for the Caprice 9C1.
For the cs to json conversion: Is a full object description with all attributes for both formats available? I’m working on a converter for my map creator tool which could be used for cars as well. At the moment I use the same property name for the json like it was in cs but I don’t know if there are breaking changes and I didn’t find any information.
i found a bug you know that you have these for sale boards and when i try to put them on a non rusty variation it doesnt show up
You need to put them on under the body slot, this is just a skin slot. I should rework this, makes no sense to be a skin, 3 meshes with separate materials will be more optimal.
