Making maps with T3D/BeamNG at this point is very tedious and needs immense concentration. If it was quick and easy this place would be flooded with maps. Having a second environment artist on staff would be cool though. Just my opinion.
It is at first a vehicule game, a lot of people stay on the grid map for broken steel! The landscape come in a second plan I think, also maybe the big geeks prefers modelising vehicules or do landscape for mmo rpg or fps on other engine more recent... But you are right it is not easy to do nice things
Wow this is looking incredible... This is the map I'm most excited for at the moment. And the detail in that barn looks amazing so far!
Thank you Totoro! I have found the exact normal map for the wood, the normal program detect depth with dark and light colors. So on the wood the dark color is more deep than white colors, but in reality it is reverse because dark vein are more hard than white material. Also in the time white vein are more worn and more deep than dark vein, for do that on the normal I have just inverse colors of the texture and this is the result : BEFORE and AFTER
HI All! THE SAWMILL!! I have drawn the hangar where trunk are sawed, I must say that it was a real pleasure for me to draw it because I learn more and more to use BLENDER and I discover that it is a very easy and powerfull tool! And I want to share some image of real building things. At this time there are again a lot of things to add in this scene but this hangar was the more complex in my head...
Wow, that is really complicated. Ouer knows absolutely nothing about sawmills. It looks really nice and detailed. My one suggestion would be that you need to come up with some sort of ramp system to get up to the loft area. But this might already be planned. little edit- Please note that most of my advice is pretty bad, so ignoring it might be the best option.
maybe some logs wrapped up in bundles waiting to be sawed and some wooden planks that have ben sawed? also some lights, wires, and pipes might look nice
Love the general sawmill design, it just looks cool and realistic. Impeccable wood texture on those beams.
Return to the track! A high speed tunel after the jump. Also I must point that all jumps have a very soft landing at the good speed, you can really do them without damages, but trajectorys are still technicals.
Hi! I have a little problem... Is it possible to put my own sound fx? I have one for the machinery of the sawmill (it is a .ogg) but not work... Thanks
Your own custom sounds should work. I've never added custom sounds to a map, but I think they have to be mono .ogg files. From my experience with engine .ogg sounds, ones exported as stereo will not work.
