Edit the decals, as usual lol. Just click the sign, open up "Material Editor" (F4) and see what path the model is from. the decal will be there too.
Heh, kinda gave up on trying to remove the numbers on sign but I tried to cover them up with the plants (I won't leave it like this until the beta comes out) the best I could in a.. realistic type fashion but I think the gas station area is done.
Put in another safe house, more details to the roads and a little small path leading down for role-playing purposes!
i think this looks really cool and cant wait for this to be released i think you should maybe make some dirt paths around some bigger obstacles so you can easily get around because if your in something like a covet you cant get over some things
After some motivation from a friend.. I'mma still try my best to get the files back, so don't worry yet. It's not official that this project is cancelled
...Never said anything happen, but alright...hopefully you can get the files back. Just make sure you save the folder somewhere safe after every day of developing. That's what I do, or atleast try to do...
I am sorry to tell that we (my Dad and I) have done all that is possible to recover the deleted project files. My Dad bought a new i7 8086k CPU that would have been an improvement to my rig, however, the new processor was bad (had a short) and caused the motherboard to malfunction. My Dad replaced back to the old i7 8600 CPU and did a Windows Restore to the computer as it did not boot at all, not even resetting the CMOS. The BIOS had to be updated too and set to default. Once the computer was up and running, it seemed to be working as it was before, BUT then on the BeamNG drive folder, the Levels were not there and gone. (And where I stored it to) Upon trying another System Restore to cancel the latest update, there were no Restore points to go to. What is odd about all this, is that the System Restore is not supposed to delete any documents, pictures or personal files. I wonder if, because BeamNG.drive is an application and the file was in that directory, the System Restore treated it as an application and the file was gone. I also tried recovering all the deleted files using an application called Recuva with no luck. This is a BIG lesson for me and I hope you guys also take heed, to have a proper back up! Once a month at least, and have regular system restore points created. I have procured an external drive that will be another back up for all my work. So sorry to let you down like this but it is what it is. I am not going to let this situation let me down and I am going to pick it up and create another better and cooler Map, after all I have acquire a good sense on how to design these maps. @BlueGinge123 @Danny Werewolf @Giraffinator
Well that’s a shame, I’m sorry about your computer troubles. I hope the new map looks as promising as this one,
I was reading through this thread today, I must say, this project was looking mighty amazing! I am sorry to hear you lost your files, but I do like that you aren't letting this setback stop you! Sometimes those types of problems make people lose their drive to work on projects, I wish you luck! I'll definitely be watching this closely whenever you pick it back up!
