It's been a terribly long time since I've posted. So 1st off, my apologies. YES I MISSED ALL OF Y'ALL.
Formalities out of the way; I've been very busy this past summer trying to make my apartment complex much more livable by volunteering my time and effort to improve / clean the place up.
While I'm currently very sick with the FLU, it's a good time to fill in and let y'all know that:
THIS PROJECT IS NOT DEAD, AND WILL NOT BE DEAD. I just merely put it down for a while, so that I can handle my real-life matters and not stress so much over how difficult working with the game's graphics have become.
Seriously. Making 'levels' used to be EASY by comparison. Now it's 10x harder and I still mess up the damn graphics regularly. Doesn't help that my memory no longer serves to help me.

What did y'all miss?
I finally finished my diet in the last 30 days. I'm 165~170lbs firm, having surpassed my goal weight twice now, and losing a total of 60~65lbs. WOW. That's a lot of LARD. I can't believe I used to have nearly a 40" waist line and a gut! Now I'm 32~33" at the waist and no more gut!
A family moving here from Florida lost everything they had when their moving vehicle caught fire and burned to the frame. I helped give them much furniture, and closets full of clothing.
I even went to Florida at the beginning of the month (I finally got to go to the Gulf shore! A 27-year-long goal of mine), to try and help the man of the house (who lost everything) get his truck back (much to the detriment of my budget).

Now that cold weather showed up today, and temperatures only hit the 70F mark a few days a week or less, VS being in the 90's; now I expect to have much more time to work on the project. Or try to, anyways.
My Maya subscription has run out and I no longer can afford the 400$ to re-subscribe to it for another year. I will try to save up money so I can re-subscribe, but small emergencies that pop up could easily derail this.

I still have absolutely, positive NO idea how to work on traffic signals that the AI can 'see'. I have to give it another try.
I've worked on a few things over the last several months but I don't know if it's better or worse than the current version that's downloadable since I have things pulled apart resource-wise on my end with this version.

As usual, my back being intolerant of me sitting at a computer will be the sole decision maker in how much time I can put into working on this project. That having been said, it's a lot better than it was a year or two ago when I was heavier.

Oh, and I never did get the terrain graphics fixed in Roane County when I set out to do it over the last year. I've firmly long-since given up on that over it being just too damn complicated. If it got updated with better/current graphics this year, it is not my doing and thus someone else is worthy of such praise. It's just so difficult to work on creating things for this game engine when it used to be so much easier when this project was first taking shape. It makes my head spin just trying to make sense of it all. Know that I'm trying though, and I'm not giving up on Los Injurus. It'll get there one day. Oh, and on Youtube I have seen a pedestrian mod, which I'd obviously like to integrate into this project since it adds much ambience / immersion.
That aside I did fire up my old PC and low-and-behold there was Tail of the Dragon, working almost flawlessly, inside version 0.20 of Beamng! What a hoot that road is to drive.
Those MLC-nand SSD's in it (from 2014) held data despite being powered off for SIX YEARS. Didnt think it would. The BIOS settings didnt survive, but color me shocked to see Windows 7 Pro login screen pop up merely a few seconds after the machine left BIOS with the correct settings put back in. Boy oh boy do I miss using Windows 7 and older OS's, they were SO much better for WORK / everyday use.
I never did update my computer. There is no money for this in my life. I make just enough (with your contributions) to EAT most meals and pay all my bills, and for that I'm quite thankful. It's nice not having to resort to eating the nearby woodland creatures just to not die. Still, the old machine from 2019 soldiers on for whatever reason unbeknownst to myself, and for that I won't complain in it's still nearly silent presence.
Going to the BEACH for a few hours about 2 weeks ago did much more good for me than I can put into words, has helped me better grasp what my life has become, and get perspective on my life & what I want out of it before I'm too old to do anything meaningful about any of it. I can't recommend YOU do this enough! So yes, please, go to the beach if you can ever manage to, it will really help ease your mind, provided you don't end up touring the inside of a large shark or something similar.

So yes, do expect more updates; just not tomorrow, and likely not next week / two weeks etc. It'll be a bit.
--That is most of what I wanted to say, I'm just too dang sick to type much longer. Lucky you!
-The Bob.

It's lovely having a nice 2 bedroom apartment to yourself; but it's not easy making it today, and it can get lonely - especially if you fall down or get stuck somewhere inside due to your back going out. I'm currently on the precipice of meeting the floor at a high rate of speed if I move the wrong way but for a moment due to my back issues. This is nothing new, it's just a little less frequent now that I've lost 60+ pounds of mostly spare ribs and rump-roast. I said it so you don't have to.
Never, ever, ever give up on your goals and dreams, your wants and desires, no matter how removed from your current life situation it may be. It took me 27.5 years since I got my driver's license in 1999 to get to that beach, and when I finally did 2 weeks ago, I cried some very very VERY well-earned tears. They were not tears of pain nor sadness, but of pure unadulterated JOY. It was far and away from the nicest beach I've ever been on, and I've been to quite many; but it was the closest to Heaven itself I've gotten yet, and I couldn't complain one bit other than the fact I couldn't stay there forever.
