Back with more updates: I've added a blank badge for now. Front bumper variations for different trim levels. This is the base bumper for the inline 4 models: This one is the for the V10 N/A: And the one for the turbo V10 version with all the bells and whistles. I'm still not sure of the "eyebags" will be just black paint, exposed carbon or even intakes, maybe all of them eventually ) On the rear I've redone the bottom of the bumper and added an exhaust for the base version. The tail lights are slightly different on the lower part, slightly larger/taller.
I'd suggest you using the Scintilla V10 as the base for the V6. THere are mods out there that have the model ready, if you can't model it yourself. I'd even try to put a Scintilla Head on the Cherrier 4 cylinder so it fits with the rest, although, with the Bastion weighting that much, an Inline 5 would make more sense (again Cherrier based modelwise), and would also tie with the V10 (being half of it), probably being developed by Civetta, so no ties with Cherrier too.
A V6 based on the V10 is still in the works. I want to get the V10 and I4 into the game first though. An I5 is not Italian IMO so that is not an option. An I4 with the Scintilla head and intake would be too much as well, the base car needs a basic looking engine. Using the Vivace engine as a base makes sense in my eyes.
Well, FIat and Alfa Romeo used to have I5 engines, and they make more sense to be "Half" a V10, even with a simpler head, than a run of the mill I4. Not only that but, well, the Bastion is WAY too heavy for a 2.0L Inline 4, so for an entry leven engine, that should not work hard to move the vehicle, the Turbo I4 looks a bit underpowered, and stuffing more turbo pressure and such so it gets a decent ammount of power, will make the engine work too hard for it to be fuel efficient and good on emissions. The Giulia used a 2 liter turbo 4, because it is a light car. Putting the same engine on a Charger would not give the same results.
There are no Italian I5s in the modern era for me to mirror. Cutting a V10 in two and using it on as many cars as possible to offset the costs is what the Germans would do when owning an Italian brand. Americans are a lot thriftier, I think it makes sense they would save money and force a smaller I4 in there. I am completely aware that my car is one class above the Giulia but it's also a product of the modern era with it's ridiculous downsizing trend. There are plenty of 2L engines in 5 series, E class and A6s so a bigger "Alfa" would use the same. I could make the I4 a hybrid, maybe that would make it more believable. Fiat's GME (the 2.0L in the Giulia) powers a bunch of over 2ton SUVs in hybrid trim, I could mirror that. I'm not sure how easy is to implement a hybrid in BeamNG though... I can also make it a larger I4, like a 2.4 since I've scaled up the geometry anyway. I'm thinking the lowest HP version should be around 200hp or over that, depending on how it drives, I'm aiming at similar performance numbers to a Giulia.
For some reason I can't upload images to the forum anymore. I've posted it in the troubleshooting section, hoping for a quick fix. In the meantime, here's a wall of text with progress. I'll post images as soon as I can figure out how to fix my issue. I've been working on the top of the range V10 version. I've added intake version to the "eyebag" area under the headlights. These feed air directly into the turbo-mouted cone filters. Added extra intakes around grill area. Added heat vents on hood. Added wider front arches, two versions, with and without heat extractors behind the wheel (pictured with). Added carbon winglet side skirts Added carbon fender extensions for the rear. Added carbon sparrow tail spoiler. Added V10 specific rear bumper with central double exhaust. Added carbon side mirror covers. Next up: A better version of the rear wing, the one pictured in the previous posts was just a quick placeholder. Tail lights need further details. Custom wheels. I have 4 versions planned: 19" base "luxury" wheels. Something multispoke. Square setup. 19" sporty wheels. Most likely 5 spokes with round holes. Staggered widths. 20" special wheels. These will be for the sporty version, as per the Giulia Veloce. Staggered widths. 22" top of the range wheels. Same sizes as the Scintilla Stradale wheels I've used in my previews but with a design closer to the Giulia GTAm
