Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Great truck! I have one problem with it, though. When I spawn it in, using any variant, the tailgate will be invisible. If I remove/add it in the parts menu, it makes no difference.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Reinstall it, with new one and delete old one. and an update for this may come out this weekend. Stay tuned.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Okay people, Let this be the last time LT. Smell My has to explain how to fix the invisible bed.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Will you add a motor with a little bit more torque? It bogs down easily when in manual, first gear, and going up steep hills.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) You can add any engine mod made for the D-15 to this, I usually go for the 6.7 Cummins, HERE is a link to it.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Sorry it's been a while since an update. There was a death in my family so I haven't been on my computer much in the past week. I have finally finished the Jbeams for both the Regular Cab and the Extended Cab (Thanks to Drowsy Sam). There should be an update coming in the next few days.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Sincerely sorry for your loss, I wouldn't blame you for putting this project off for a while. Certainly excited for the update. If you don't mind my asking, do you plan on making the powertrain a bit closer to the real C/K? This thing shifts into 4th at about 95-100 mph, my rig shifts into 4th at about 45 mph and does 2100 rpm at 60 mph, same is true for the gasoline versions I've had the pleasure of driving too.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) I'm not gonna blame you for taking some time off for that. I am sorry for your loss.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Ok an update may come later tonight, so forward to that. I called off doing the dually version of this truck, I might jump back on the idea later, but I'm working the chevy and a secret project for now. Stay tuned.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Love the work on the EXT, a crew cab would also be awesome.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado Now including EXT Cab (New Thread) Update first post, includes extended cab, Jbeam fixes, and new rims. Enjoy .
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Awesome!!! I see the ext cab is missing the pass side mirror. - - - Updated - - - oh here is a few things I noticed a 94 would have a CHEVROLET tailgate banner all 88-97 non w/t had them that tailgate is off a 98 the little Chevrolet is on the wrong side of the tailgate and a 94 would not have that
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Yeah the mirrors on both Silverado's are screwed so I know about that and I'll see what I can do about the tailgate.
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) Gotta say, this is one of my favorite mods to run. I use it as my default for just about everything. Then again I am pretty bias to this body style. I know it is using the stock Beam engines, but I did some research and added some more modern engine choices (like the 4.3L, 5.3L, 6.0L and 6.2L's) and when combined with the proper Transmissions this truck really starts to perform(which is funny because the stock engine produces more peak torque, then again the others have better gearing). But the rest of the truck is solid and fun. (just needs a Z71 badge to top it off) Part of the issue with this is that I don't think the game can model an Overdrive transmission properly like the 4L60E that was run in this truck. I did a few test with the transmission and simulated the overdrive by adding gears between the main gears, however, while I did match the shifting and RPM you described(4th at 45mph and 60 at 2.1k), it was bad, really bad. Like 0 to 60 in 24 seconds and a top speed of 80 bad... The real thing uses computers to adjust the shift points based on speed, load, and RPM. The game can only shift based on RPM. (as far as I know, I'm new here...)
Re: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado (New Thread) This car is one model version behind the Yukon XL 2002 I'll be learning to drive in. This is great, thanks!
