Actually it is, since this system is remnicient of the 80's prelude mechanical 4ws system.
Here is a video of the system, skip to 1:10 and watch for a few seconds, notice how the system turns. I wont bother explaining why as the video does it well enough.
Electronic later systems don't do this, but the mechanical system the Pessima is based on does. The purpose was to allow for a little bit of crabbing at high speeds, so small wheel inputs would be more responsive.

That is how commercial systems worked at the time, low input, the steering crabs for high speed stability, high input the steering increases input.... In more recent years the modern electronic systems are based upon speed rather than steering range input but early systems functioned identically to the pessimas here

My Skyline R32 have the same system.

When you are on the highway and you want to pass ou change way, you only have to turn a bit the steering and the car will move like a crab. This is why at the begening the wheel turn in the same way

In GTZ trim, this Pessima looks and drives a lot like an R32 GT-R, which would make sense considering that the R32 and the GTZ have a less-than-20-hp difference, but that 400+ pounds difference really does help the Pessima handle and accelerate better than a GT-R would if it was in BeamNG.drive. But anyway, this car is one supercar-humbler, especially the Custom Pessima.

(Still, a custom speaker gives the engine 153hp, and enlarges your penis by 200%.) :p

You see spotlights on regular road cars all the time in Australia, so to me it just added character.

I actually use almost that exact configuration for "my" Pessima. Spot lights/driving lights make almost anything (usually older cars) better in my opinion, so I'm super happy they added them to the Pessima.
