Should the "empty" grille be replaced with the one from the Hopper on all hoods?

On the topic of airless tires, it would be a normal tire with a different mesh that just wouldn't be poppable. So to BeamNG it still has air but you can't pop it so it acts the same way :p

I don't think there will be a Beta release... it's kind of an all or nothing (and then probably a hotfix update from all the stuff I missed and/or messed up) kind of deal at the moment. Also, I am sorry I can't give any real information on when this will get done or that will get done... things are just difficult sometimes. Example, I just spent the last week trying to get my computer fixed up again (granted it was slightly self inflicted) and only got it up and running again just now.

Before everyone drops into a panic... no data was lost or anything like that... and even if there was a total catastrophe, I do an online backup on my google drive every night I work on it... so no data will be lost.

I can't tell if your joking or being serious... I am going to pretend like your being serious...

Currently Sitthy and I are developing it. That's what this thread is for...

Is the jbeam a full custom, or an edited one from a vanilla car? It looks amazing!

Fully 100% custom. No corner cutting here, this is the real deal.

Nice! Suspension custom too? If it is, is FFB being tested and worked on?

Yep, fully custom. Just about every line of every file (23,777 lines right now) has been typed by me... I may have copied a couple of little things like JBeam file structure when I was trying to understand how the system works, but that's usually only 5 to 10 lines and I usually also end up rewriting them anyways. So yeah... 100% custom thru and thru...

Hmmm... odd... let me see if I can fix that....

Edit: Alright, I think I fixed it... try it now.

I don't know why I missed the second part of your question, but yes, I will also be tuning the FFB as well.

Cool! Just wanted to ask, cause I’ve seen mods before release with funky ffb until it was brought to the authors attention and fixed. This is going to be a really awesome mod.

Yeah, honestly the FFB will probably be one of the very last things I work on before release. My reasoning for that is that means I will have everything tuned by then... suspension, tires, spring and damping values of all the materials, weight, so on and so forth... so once all of that is taken care of, I can then confidently start adjusting the FFB settings as I won't have to worry about changing something and accidentally messing up the FFB.

The only thing I can't decide is what I should make it feel like. Right now (purely on accident if I'm honest) it feels like the real thing. Very little feedback and it is very easy to turn the wheel over just about any kind of terrain. This is all well and good, but I can't decide if I should leave it like that, or tune it for more feel (would probably aim for something like the feel of the D-Series I guess) so that the user can tune how much steering feel they want in with their wheel settings.

I think that’s a good idea. I say tuning it like the d series would be a good way to do it.

Every mod now allows you to tune it. I believe it has already been stated that it will.
