Dang man. Glad you're doing better. Hopefully, the mod is finished before I have to point a fourth anniversary like I did the third XD.
Jesus... Yeah, I feel that. Haven't had the pleasure of catching it myself, but as a type 1 diabetic I've definitely had some pretty intense experiences when I've been sick (got the flu a year ago and it knocked me out for like a solid month), and I've had to put some things aside for the sake of self preservation, and it's a pain in the ass. I mean, everything is these days, but still... Take care of yourself, and don't feel too stressed about making progress on this. If there is anything that I have learned from all of this, it is that personal health is ALWAYS most important. *Edited for spelling
Jesus H Christ dude, that's intense. So glad to hear you made it out the other end alive. Going off of what @SlowCreepyDeepy said, yeah, don't try to make progress if you're still recovering. If the mod gets delayed, we'll still be here. Don't sacrifice your recovery to try and grind out the mod. As you said, you were literally fighting for your life the past few weeks.
I've been meaning to ask this: did the update change anything related to the vehicle? Particularly, the new tire grip mechanics. They didn't put much about it on the changelog. Is it something intrinsic to the game's grip simulation, is it a set of new values for each vehicle, or is it a change to map materials? I think the first is most likely, but even then, adjusting to get realistic traction values might be required after the rework.
Alright... managed to get back into it again... added a few things over the past few days Stack with rain cap exhaust (don't drive in deep water with this ) New Dual Sport Exhaust I added a few other things the other day too... and now I can't remember what they were... if I figure out what it was I will update with pictures
Yeah, me too... Covid sucked, but it wasn't the end of the world... Oh... and look whats in game now! Thanks to TrackpadUser I now implemented his Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) into the game! (I really didn't do anything other than throw the files in, so thank him ) Takes roughly 5 seconds to go from Low Pressure to High Pressure.
Im also glad you recovered. I had it as well and id rather pass getting it again. Mod looks amazing, can't wait to use it whenever it will be ready.
You see, people say 2020 is the worst year ever, and it is, but not all of it. Look how far this mod has come, and some other cool WIP mods, that's all good, not bad.
I mean, yes and no... we do have global wheels, so any updates given to the wheels we get, however, even my old wheels are almost entirely unaffected. This thing is heavy, and it is slow... so even if there was a significant drop in rolling resistance, it is almost unnoticeable. Traction values, it appears most tires actually got grippier with this update... at least a little bit... so our capability naturally went up just because of that... but not by a lot. But yeah... since we use in game tires (mostly) we don't actually have to do anything... the truck just naturally got updated along with the normal in game content.
