You forgot Pontiac. It goes between Chevy and Olds.

    Lower but not the lowest.

I think they may have had a little performance flare to them as well. At least some models.

As he said, Pontiac would fall between Chevrolet and Olds.

And on the performance note, not necessarily, For example, compare a 1970 two-door Chevelle with a 1970 two-door LeMans, You could get either of them as 6 cylinder, 3-on-the-tree base model cars, and the Pontiac would be just that little bit nicer than the Chevy. Then on the other hand you could have a Super Sport Chevelle with a 454 and 4-on-the-floor, or you could have a LeMans GTO with a 455 and a 4 speed, and again, the Pontiac would be just a bit nicer of a car to be in. Not saying either would outperform the other necessarily, but just that the Pontiac would just be a slightly nicer car than the Chevy.

If Buick and Oldsmobile didn't exist. While Ford has Ford, Mercury and Lincoln, GM Had Chevy, Pontiac, Olds, Buick and Cadillac.

    ...............................

That's not the point I was trying to make at all, I was trying to compare the different brands under the GM umbrella to each other, Lincoln, or Ford for that matter, has no bearing on this conversation.

And also, Just because I'm bit of a sour mood now, We're going to learn what a "Muscle Car" is. This isn't really meant towards anyone in particular, more towards people who think anything made between 1965 and 1972 is a muscle car.

(Staying with GM, just because of familiarity)
1969 Camaro, Not a Muscle Car. Chevy's standard compact.
    1969 Camaro SS350, Still not a muscle car, It's a pony car.
    1970 Monte Carlo, Not a muscle Car, It's a mid-size luxury coupe. (Chevrolet's top-of-the-line model)
1970 Monte Carlo 454SS, Still not a muscle car, High performance version of the normal Monte.
    1970 Chevelle, Not a Muscle car, It's just Chevrolet's standard mid-size car.
    1970 Chevelle 454SS, Muscle Car.
1969 Buick Skylark, Not a muscle car, Buick's standard mid-size car.
1969 Buick Skylark GS 455 Stage one, Muscle car.
1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass, Not a muscle car, equivalent of the Skylark and Chevelle.
    1969 Olds Cutlass 442 W30, Muscle Car.

Cadillac anything, Not a muscle car, Not a performance car of any kind.

Because earlier it was said that Pontiac was more performance oriented than other GM brands, So to help make my point I mentioned some examples.

Now that's enough bickering about what is or isnt what, you've all got Google, This is serving no real purpose and Fido doesn't need it in his thread.

Hi Benjamin, excellent video, never seen before. It's fun that it's sponsorised by rockauto.com, that has no more engine parts for those Diesel. If they had, my engine would be already made reliable and repaired.

This are some pictures to illustrate the used and restored aspect of the chassis.
The frame is the Moonhawk one with some details added to make it more thick, like the real one.
I've added to the fuel tank the tube and cap to fill it with fuel, hidden behind the rear licence plate support.
The stock and gas engines have no restored version though, there will be a little bit used but not that much.
Street legal and Drag engines are brand new, so it compensates.

Some closer look to the gearbox. The shape is not 100 % accurate but it does the trick i think.

This is a restomod version by Synsol who is working on the engines, geabox and is doing an awesome job.
This car is turbo charged, delivers 800 savage HP, and it's pretty hard to handle, but it drifts nicely.
No chrome and no badges, all those parts are selectable individually

    oldsmobile_1980_fullsize_series_mod_sergentfido_ar162b_chassis_and_wheels_007.jpg .

The wheels are from BeamNG. The wheel hubs give access to the custom wheels made for the car, but also to all the BeamNG.drive wheels with 5 lugs.

So you'll be able to try fun things like this Regency with Burnside wheels.

Man this mod is reigniting all sorts of memories. These aren't pics of the actual cars but represent the model years.

My party 'rocket' 1987- 1970 Cutlass Supreme nicknamed 'green hell'.
    70oldscutlass.jpg

My second party 'rocket' 1988- 1974 Delta 88 sedan. Bought this beast for $700 and beat the shit out of it. Trying to drive this without steering
column bearings was an incredible suicidal rush. My youth was lots of fun!
    74olds88.jpg

Fathers 1972 Cutlass Supreme. My brother, father and I almost died in one of these and that wreck (head on), is what
flipped my switch for the obsession of wrecking carso_O.
    72oldscutlass.jpg

Grandmothers 1971 Delta 88 Royale. Fond memories of grandma opening up those secondaries:cool:.

If some of these pics are the wrong years it's the f%#king internet's problem.

It's written in the teaser pics "some day of september". We are several persons working on it so it depends on every one to finish his part.
It could be the 5th like the 20th, i don't know.

Aboroath : wow, such nice cars you had. I never drove a gasoline V8 of all my life, but i will buy one for sure. Maybe l'ill look for a Regency, as we can find them in France with gasoline, while all the Delta 88 for sale are Diesel. I've never seen a gasoline 1980 and further for sale. The 77-79, yep.
