My definitive answer is; I genuinely do not know. I’m currently a final year college student who also works in order to help pay for said college, so my free time is very limited at the moment. That said, I genuinely have a want and desire to bring these parts to everyone, so any chance I get when I’m not working on studies or actual work, I’ll be learning LUA and trying to add these parts in. My plan is sort of as follows: I intend to learn the basics first, creating meshes for and adding the NFS parts I have found as an entry-level point for myself. Once I get that working, I’ll release those parts in a “beta” build mod, so to speak, so everyone can try out the parts and help refer back to me any bugs or issues that occur. It will NOT be the best quality at launch, as it will be my first mod I’ve made. However, I will improve for the second release with the feedback and reports I will receive. From there, I will begin to learn how to model, hopefully with success, and will begin custom making some of the easier parts from the Street + NASCAR Herbie variants! Some parts may not be entirely screen accurate, as I would love to have some lore related parts, like a Beam.NG Pod Tachometer and gauges, but if possible, I will get the C2 sport gauges texture on there! I would not get your hopes up entirely, as this won’t be on the same level that VertexStyle brought us with the first releases, and MrX with subsequent ones, but I hope to make everyone happy and allow for more unique and accurate beetle AND Herbie builds!
I believe I do too, I just need to either recreate them myself or find a way to remove the needles from them! I used to be apart of a Herbie mod for GTAV that fell through, so I have a BUNCH of reference photos and images already! (Thank god we didn’t delete that discord)! But any sort of reference photos or images, please send them my way! The more I have the better!
PLEASE tell me you are still active and have that file, because that looks AMAZING for junkyard Herbie, and would love to include it in a future config/mod release!
what about the non wide (normal looking) vw steel wheels (both smoothie and a modified 10 slot version) like on the original version of this mod had
I noticed those were bugged too, missing the entire center piece, I’ll see if MrX doesn’t have the model and if I can’t learn and add it as a fix. It’d be a good starting point for me tbf --- Post updated --- I ended up speaking to MrX and he says he’s also missing those models, so I’ll see if I can’t yoink them from the old mod versions and bring them back to the present!
i think these have bigger hubcaps than the wide track rims. or not, i know the size of these wheels are 15x4 for the old mod, and the irl wheel size is 15x5.5
the 5.5 diameter wheels are 14s on the modern beetle mod not 15s like the factory vw wheels which are 15x5.5. theres 15x4's in the old mod
