Love how this is coming together. Perhaps some military personnel carrying versions would be a nice addition and something we don't necessarily see too often. Keep up the good work though.
I think this all I want to suggest. Could I suggest a chopped roof, a shortened bed with only two wheels and a "trumpet" intake manifold like these? With these parts, tonnes of hot rods could be made and I could finally make a proper hot rod to drive around in. Hell, a trend on Beam could be started where people make their own hot rod configs.
im am looking forward to this very much, along with the 6x6 you should make some sort of 4x4, and one more suggestion, a drag version like an older farmtruck
Already looking pretty good!!! I've never actually tried any pre-1950s car in BeamNG so this will be awesome no matter how it turns out. Given Gavril appears to be the generic american brand (comparable to Ford) I think Gavril Model 1 would be a great name idea (Model 1 cause it's Gavril's first mass-produced car) I also have a rough idea for the trims (based on real 1920s cars, at the end of the day you're the modder and you decide on all of this, but I definitely want to mention these trim ideas a bit): - Rusty - Some parts scrapped, rusted frame, engine has lost power over time, was left in a garage for nearly half a century. - Touring Wagon - 4-seat car, basically a Ford Model T as we all recognize it. - Hauling Wagon - meant as a utility truck. maybe have a military paint variant as well? - Tractor Conversion Kit - these existed back then I'm dead serious. - Custom Body - A thing you could do back in the day was have a custom body put on the frame of a car, maybe some super-luxurious looking body with nice curves and everything? - Ratrod - Lowered suspension, chopped roof, lightweight parts. - Sleeper - Engine swap, has a modern V8 engine in it.
Why not just name it 19xx Gavril T-Series? And yes, I get it that it's not a big truck, but it could be a "prototype" of the T-Series we have now... A great great grandpa if you wish
More than likely I'll be following some sort of path like this, given most vehicles of this time weren't identified by a common, trademarkable name, but rather by their make/brand/builder and/or by a simple model identifier. I figured I could use some creative license here with the Gavril brand name, given alot of old automotive manufacturers ended up merging, eventually forming many of the automotive juggernauts we have today, such as General Motors. I've got an idea for a different truck that's more closely tied to the types of trucks the T series would have evolved from (Trucks that are a bit bigger than this thing,) like the old Mack trucks of the 1920s and 1930s, so we'll save that lore for another mod. Oh well enough lore and stuff... It just felt to me like it'd be nonsensical to make a vehicle mod for BeamNG without a brand or name, which is in part why I'm even thinking of brands and names to begin with... And not to mention it gives the kiddies and whatnot stuff to talk about and work their lil brains with while I'm working mine trying to actually make this thing. Yes, everything modeled has proper UVs and will be textured. If you meant skin support, hopefully I have the patience after modeling everything to make the skins UVs, but it is planned as of this moment. Really? I don't see anything contributing about your post. Not bad, the nice part about these trucks is that it's very simple to add this stuff to them, as for they're far simpler vehicles, sharing much the same stuff as the regular production run vehicle but with a different body, etc. Idk, this truck doesn't sit right IMO to make a good hotrod. I could be wrong though, I'm not too much into hot rods, I'm only familiar with the stereotypical ones mostly. A 4 wheel conversion is possible, same with a proper 4WD variant, as for the technology did exist back then (Though most of the time this was up to very skilled individuals to modify the regular production vehicle themselves.) Right now this is what I'd called a 6x4; 6 wheels, 4 are driven. I could even do a full 6WD version without too much problem, most of the framework already exists in the existing JBeams I have.
Why Gavril? Let it be something else, just for variety (but pls nothing with "beam" or "node")... Everything seems to be named Gavril. Still wonder why the old cannon is a not a Gavril tho
I like where this is going! I'm hoping the suspension will be as good wrapping baling wire around some soda cans.
Doesn't matter, we don't discuss this here! Every ingame brand stands for several real brands! So he can name his (Ford?) truck Soliad, Hirochi, Civetta, Bruckell or whatever made-up name, if the author wants to.
