Alright, here's a little update on what I've been doing. The other side of the bridge...-----------------------Another view of the bridge.----------------------------Some of the blockers, you can go around them if you want to but they lead off the map. And an airport. ----------------------------------------The only place you can see off the map is the airport, wouldn't want to hit trees whilst taking off! Yeah, I haven't got the grass of the runway yet. --- Post updated --- I'm about 99% done covering the sculptmap with textures. I have this side of the highway pretty much done. And here are some beauty pics. Some sad news though: The main commercial part of town in currently replaced by trees. The commercial buildings currently in the game are too small and ugly to fit in well with the map. The map still plays well, and with more trees, it makes the map seem bigger, even though it's already huge.
Use more other assets. Those one u used are original ones and are to generic. Spice up the map with custom objects
I have no idea how to model, but changing the houses in a future update is definitely a possibility. --- Post updated --- The map was taken down due to "offensive" writing on the terrain. I wont reupload until the next version is ready, so thanks to everyone for the feedback and responses. Also, it wasn't #GAY, it was #QAY, me and my friends Rocket League team.
Found a bug -Piece of grid found on the middle of the island in the lake/pound. Also I'd recommend (if you can) creating a version of the map with 50%ish less trees for people with lower grade PCs. Now i don't know if somethings acting up with my Computer or if your map is just too huge but I'm getting 15-17 FPS (Which is utter trash to play on) on Normal settings and i have a GTX 765m with an i7-4700HQ @ 2.40Ghz which should run BeamNG decently, right?
Thanks for letting me know about the grid. I can make a version with reduced vegetation as well when I finish with the next version.
I'm getting the same FPS with my specs. Binkey I'm curious...you using the T3D editor tools to smooth your roads?
There is some grid around this dirt area. I honestly have no idea where on the map it is, so I hope I zoomed out enough.
I was just curious because they're pretty damn good for those tools!...seriously. A lot of work to get them even close to what you've done so far. I have an area in BH2 where two roads intersect and I spaced fixing it in World Machine, using Torque tools to smooth it out and it's a bitch. Doing an entire map like that, even starting with a relatively flat one, would make me blow my brains out.
BLINKEY!!! PLEASE ADD A CAR DEALERSHIP!!!!! Would be perfect for roleplaying (PS: This is the best BeamNG.drive map i've ever seen!)
Thanks for the complement! In the real 100 Mile house, there is a car dealership, so hopefully the next update there will be!
Sorry sir, it's going to be put where it is in real life, there are a lot of trees that are currently in place of the actual town.
