WIP 03-05 Mercury Grand Marquis Parts for Maxie's Crown Vic

This is a joke, right? That's literally what this thread is about

 

I think he means make a whole separate marquis, which I will not be doing. Just making these parts compatible for Maxie’s Vic mod lol

 

Which is miles easier to do

 

Also i have a marquis and it is basically a heavy vic

 

what do you mean a heavy vic? there's virtually no weight differences between the cars. they share the same chassis and bodies, they just have slightly different fascias

 

I don't know too much mine drives heavy and I haven't seen the interior of a vic.

My ultimate edition is modded so it has leaf springs instead of air bags in the rear then a few other things need replaced but besides that I love it. Can't wait to crash a car that looks like mine.

 

these cars never came with a "leaf spring" suspension option. also the marquis and vic interiors are virtually the same in the non police cars

 

You mean coil suspension there is no leaf suspension for the panther platform

Honestly not a ton, i did some more work on the model i was using, was gonna use another model from the guy that was helping (that was much much closer to being done) with the project but he ghosted me, so progress has slowed a lil bit. I'm still gonna pick away at it when i have time unless i get someone else to join in on the project with some modeling and modding experience. will update when I've got some progress.

 

Update! Not a huge update but its progress. I've cleaned up the model a little bit more to the best of my ability at the moment. I've also finally cut up and separated the borrowed model's headlight/marker light combo into just the marquis headlight and am now using the marker light housing from the vic model. same with the outer lens from the borrowed headlight and am going to use the preexisting 03-05 marquis marker light lens that maxie already had for the car. Hoping to make more progress soon as i'm figuring blender out a bit more haha.

 

Is there going to be the 2006+ style?

 

currently not in the plans but if i ever get this mod done then i might consider it

 

Kind of an update. I have not been able to make any progress on this parts mod as life has gotten busy. It is still very much in the modeling stages of things in blender. i would like to see progress made though. if anyone would like to join in on the project i am more than happy to send the blender file for someone to work on it if they'd like. Thank you all for your understanding and i hope everyone had a great holidays
