To go on with my sunburst not showing new skins, it finally works ! See image ! But to get that i had to do the jbeam in a zip myself, like a mod. I searched before with notepad ++ in the game files and it appears there is no Jbeam related to custom, only the material.cs that allowed me to do my own jbeam. So my update installation is somehow uncomplete.
this is what the long haul option for the Tseries spawns as: oh, and engines wont work if you remove wheels (all)
Fixed in next update. Also, avoid making one post for each issue. Try to group them in less posts to avoid clutter
sorry also, in the devblog there is a gif of a moonhawk special with lots of exhaust, how did you get that to happen? I've ben trying but I cant get any smoke at all.
Smoke depends on the load you put on the engine (Not the RPM). On that GIF I had handbrake on, first gear and full throttle. Caused a big load on the engine. As said in first post, engine smoke is barely visible generally. Depends also on the engine.
Seems I have the same problem. I've tried a fresh install too. I'm stupid. I had some old files in the mods folder. Not sure why they were there though. Feel free to delete this post.
How come the Engine Thermal Debug shows no damage to the engine, even though I would crush it with Sun gravity? Fresh reinstall + 0 mods = the same issue. If I take the beater covet, it smokes, but thats it
At the beggining I'd like to say I'm impressed. Thermal simulation works very well, and you can drive flawless untill you run out of fuel which is great. This is what I wanted to see. Radiator damage etc. just works great like in real life just perfect for me. But I spent a bit of time for researches. And look at temperatures of Block and Cylinder Wall on this photo: Spoiler: PHOTO I achieved higher temperature than melting point of aluminium, steel and if I'd drive for next 30 sec even clear iron. So there could be a point where engine should die anyway, no matter if oil is still fine. Used vanilla custom version of Sunburst, and what I also noticed was that intercooler is way way too efficient and it's something wrong with it's thermostat it can be set at 0 or 1 nothing between, furthermore damaging intercooler should cause oil leaks like radiator damage cause coolant leaks. If one of things is set to "true" it should be enough to kill engine after certain time. That would prevent from this situation. I know it's a damn lot of hard work, and it have to be implemented to every vechicle, and every part ( like radiators, intercoolers, tuning stage's ) have another values, and it have to be as FPS friendly as possible at once. But thermal simulation needs just a bit of polishing. Now it's possible to kill engine by thermal simulation only if all damages are set to "true". It shouldn't be like this. Moreover as mentioned before fire should spread heat to engine too. Sorry for this criticism, I know you do your best but I felt like I have to point that out. I may sound a bit weird but this is my dream game, probbably that's why I'd like to see it as perfect as it's possible, and we all have big expectations from you guys becouse you always surprise us with uber quality content. Btw. I don't have any problems with loading maps or cars/changing part of it, works like before. And my PC isn't very powerfull - Win10 64bit.
when you spawn the lead sled burnside the steering wheel is higher and not attached to the steering column
When my game tries to load any map, a vehicle is not spawned. I cannot spawn a vehicle, the camera was in the air. I tried shift c and F7, neither worked. any suggestions? thanks!
IS there any way to get the connecting rods to break at all? I've got the engine really, really hot and nothing's happened in that area.
