Sorry for the late reply. My Hangul literacy amounts to jack, so I can't actually read what the dropdown is saying there.
I have no idea why they tucked this away somewhere else instead of just putting it in the options menu ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I dont think the seats should move so much in a 40 mph crash, I might be wrong but the movement of the seats, especially the back seats seems very excessive
Nice Quality of life feature would be for the game to remember your last display mode setting to be able to switch from windows to borderless without it defaulting to fullscreen every time you are windowed and press alt+enter because running the game with directx 12 while fullscreen and clicking something on another monitor instantly minimizes the game window which is annoying so i never use fullscreen over borderless. Or at least make borderless have more priority than fullscreen or add a setting which prioritizes borderless over fullscreen mode when switching with alt+enter.
I think this 0.40 update is hugely improved game, new rendering makes game much nicer to look at and frames run smoothly, also it is nice that game respects Windows power plan setting again, so I can now play newer version than 0.35 again. There is one aspect of game which I find bit less than optimal for me. When I drive police car, AI traffic car attempts to run from me, so I turn on police lights and give a chase. Sadly AI car which runs from me has no awareness so in very short time AI car crashes, which makes driving police car rather boring as there is no actual chase to be had. Very long time ago, many many years ago, there was a game version where AI car which was running away had awareness turned on and AI car drove well, overtaking other cars and avoiding crashes, however this was changed many years ago and AI stopped avoiding crashes. There has been very little change to this behavior during the years. In 0.40 version AI car is slightly trying to avoid crashing at times, but mostly AI which runs away drives rather suicidal manner and chase ends within 200 meters or less most of the time. Because it used to work many years ago so that AI car drove more than kilometer just fine, I believe it is possible to make AI car to be more aware, but is this current behavior design choice? After all there has been many updates and situation has not changed much, so I would imagine it would of been fixed if there was plans to fix this. It is a small negative, most of everything in new game version I find positive and nicely moving forward in game development.
Hi! Sorry, I know this was probably meant to go in the 0.39 thread, but I've come to say I am incredibly upset by the addition of invisible barriers to official maps. It severely hinders the joy of exploration. Especially in places such as Johnson Valley, wherein lies an intentional access point outside of the playable area. Even if one were trying to isolate the player to the salt flat alone, the barriers aren't even lined up properly. I've found one lies diagonally on the right side (if viewed from the playable map) of the flats, and intrudes quite a lot into the "playable" area. Even the final barrier lies a long way's ahead of the actual end of the salt flat terrain. I've also experienced disappointment from the barriers placed over the already existing prop barriers at either end of the asphalt road. The one over the fuel station's side could be driven through provided the player were in a narrow enough vehicle. No more of that now sadly. I would much prefer if this change were reverted. The game is open-world after all, and I believe exploring outside of the playable area is a core part of that freedom. I have done lots of it myself. My favourite memory of this were the time I've driven all around the edges of the Industrial Area map, since the out of bounds is nonsensically huge. So yes, I am quite fond of this, and I believe it should stay part of the game. It should be embraced, rather than avoided.
Hiding any part of the T-Series (as far as I could tell) breaks the roof lights and beacons and disables/breaks the vehicle trigger highlights. Tested in Safe Mode.
