For now I have no plans to add\move any dealerships since career mode is guaranteed to have big changes with every game update and I'm sure WCUSA (map) will also get updates as well to adjust for any career mode changes. My mods rely on the career mode lua (code) files and a few WCUSA map files - so with the next game update this mod will be obsolete\broken. Although I do like that idea, perhaps once the next game update is released I will update\redo this mod and add in a few more realistic dealerships that are lore friendly and line up with actual storefronts, that would be really cool.
Hello, I've tried the "ALL" mod and the menĂ¹ unlock, I'm having some troubles opening the dealerships since it looks like something goes wrong while calculating a value for some vehicles. I'm not too confident on how to document this malfunction, if I can help you anyhow just tell me. It's probably due to a broken mod, I've tried removing some that might have been outdated or such. I'm on the latest 0.30.6 release of BeamNG.
Mod status is currently OUTDATED. The files used to make this mod require changing Career LUA files and Map Files for WestCoastUSA. Both of which had major changes with the 0.31 update. Continuing to use this mod with 0.31 will result in ALL changes made to Career Mode and WestCoastUSA to not show up and may break the map and\or Career mode entirely. I am undecided if these mods will get an update. If and\or when it does, I will make another post to bump the thread and will changes status from OUTDATED to RELEASED again.
hey. loved your mods when they were working, please update at least the garage slot mod.. that was the most valuable for me, especially now when you can have trailers and so on.. keep up the great work! Career mode does also need some love and support from the modding cummunity
go to where BeamNG is installed then go to "BeamNG.drive\lua\ge\extensions\career\modules" open "inventory.lua" with a text editor and then change "local slotAmount" to 99 or whatever else you want.
Thank you very much, worked flawless! Still, @23Terrabytes, would apreciate you continuing your work on the mods, since i quite enjoy playing around in career mode.. so development would be nice.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed them! Not sure what I am going to do with these mods - spending time to make these specific mods knowing it will instantly be outdated with the next update is hard to justify. I could probably post the garage slots and menu unlocker files since those are pretty simple\easy to make, but the dealership mods will probably not be remade since that requires changing the map WCUSA. I did however recently start working on a Career Mode mission pack - no idea what the actual numbers will be or when it will be done, but I have several story arcs planned with about 4-8 missions each. They will be similar to the story missions in my map Gambler523 where you play out a week, have a long term goal, and do a mission for each step. Quick example; a race week at the track - where you have to arrive\depart into town, trailer your race car to\from the track, race, maybe do a parts run, side bet\street race, etc . I also want to have an arc that requires your career vehicle - I might have duplicates of each of those to allow for different difficulties based on your car tier (starter car, upgraded, supercar) Will also have some cheat missions... like rob a bank - evade the police and get $100,000
Check the top post in this thread for all the information. This mod now works with 0.31 and I have included an exciting new feature, I have unlocked the Dev Debug Menu!!! You can change your stats how you see fit right from the game while career mode is running! You can even use the MenuUnlocker to spawn in a vehicle, change its parts how you want, then add that vehicle to your Career Mode garage to permanently use it - even after saving and reloading the game! When you load into career mode you will now see this window appear automatically: Edit: Also added increased traffic mods, enable police mods, and increased deliveries mods! If the Dev Debug Menu doesnt show up for you, hit "CTRL+L" to reset the game LUA. SAVE YOUR GAME FIRST - before you do this. Resetting LUA will reset the game as if you are loading into your last save - you will be teleported to the garage.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Its now fixed, all the files on the top post have been deleted and reuploaded with the proper fixed version. *For anyone who downloaded any mod version with the Dealership Inventory Mod included and you couldn't purchase any vehicles, it is now fixed as of Dec 28th. Please redownload, all broken files have been removed.
Hello, i was wondering if you could point me in some direction to where i could find a value under some file where i could decrease the time in witch the pickup loads refresh in carrer mode. For example in carrer mode you can only load very few cargo per place and the refresh button seems to take a lot of time to refresh is there any way i could change the time value for refresh the loads? Thanks a lot
@23Terrabytes your career mission pack sounds great. and thanks for updating the other mods, youre the best. i will def also try out your other mission packs
Thanks for the kind words! I dont really have a time frame for a release on the the career mission pack, probably after the holidays\year end I will have a bit more time to work on it some more. I am excited to get going on it again since 0.31 added a lot of behind the scenes adjustments for the mission editor.
I downloaded "All_full" and put it in the mods folder, I opened it using the button in the mod manager menu, but after the tutorial and buying the car, I still can't see the Dew-Debug window , sorry for my inattentiveness, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Save your game first - preferably while in the garage. Then try hitting "CTRL+L" to reload the game LUA. This fixes that issue. --- Post updated --- Here's a mod for you that increases the amount of deliveries available. I set each type of delivery item to use 15 min 30 max, so the list usually ends up with 35-75 delivery options to choose from. I left the refresh time the same, since 5 minutes isn't too long and when I made it too short it was a bit frustrating since it would expire before you had a chance to click one. But if you really want to mod that go here: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\levels\west_coast_usa.zip ..\levels\west_coast_usa\facilities\delivery\ look for and edit each "deliveryitems.json file then change the line "offerDuration":300," to whatever you want - its in seconds (so 300=5 minutes). You can put those modded deliveryitems.jsons in my zip below into the "..\levels\west_coast_usa\facilities\delivery\" folder or simply create those folders within your userdata folder and place the files there - DO NOT modify any original files in the install (steam) directory. Enjoy! Click HERE for download link!
I'm testing your mods at the moment, and i experience some minor bugs: -Traffic and police mod: -traffic spawns in places where it doesnt normally, like the drag strip -no matter what i do, i don't see any police cars around -more cargo mod: -i get between 500-800 items on each location -with that the list moves pretty fast, hard to click a specific item, because list moves upwards everytime an item is listed as expired and moved to bottom of the list im also testing dev mode, which works great! All in all i love playing around with your mods, its just great. And i'm really looking forward to the career missions pack, especially after i tried your gambler523 mod. Unfortunately offroading isn't my thing to do all the time, so im taking a while.
Good to know about the cargo mod, thanks. I only tested a couple locations and I was getting 35-75 every time. 500 is a lot, lol. I think what the issue might be is that the deliveries sites may be pooling what deliveries are available based on the cargo types from all other sites with that same type, not just being based on that one specific location. I haven't really done much testing with it, other than confirming I was getting more deliveries at a couple sites on a pretty new save - as in pretty much only completed the tutorial. So its very possible that as you unlock more delivery sites it might be adding more and more available deliveries and the 35-75 might be compounded over time making it shoot up to 500+. Check the download post, I added a second IncreasedCargo-LESS version. Not sure how much\little that will generate, but it should reduce the numbers quite a bit. As far as the traffic mod I only changed two lines of code where all I did was change A number after "gameplay_traffic.getIdealSpawnAmount" and "policeAmount" so I dont see how that will effect where AI spawns - perhaps 0.31 added new AI roads added to the dragstrip, so I dont have a fix for that. As for seeing police - The policeamount seems to only be a chance of spawning, it dosent actually force them to spawn. But when I tested it myself I noticed after changing that line I restarted the game and I was able to see police driving around and they did chase me if I made an offense. It took a few minutes of driving around to see one but they did show up. My best guess is that you just got unlucky with the initial vehicle pooling and it didn't add a police vehicle to the list. If any of these mods dont work right away you can try pressing CTRL+L to reset LUA and reload all the game files and that usually makes everything work after that. (be sure to save before doing so) I really should be marking these mods as experimental since I am really just trying things out. I do test them before I post to make sure they work on a game install with no mods other than the files I test - but with how complex the career mode files are, certain things I change may work in certain circumstances but as you play longer or as the career save gets more data in it its possible that I am breaking other things unintentionally.
I just remade my outdated "new dealership mod" to be compatible with 0.31, see the second post on the first page for more info and download link. There are the same factory and custom dealers organized by year, and I have removed the cheat dealerships and replaced them with specialized dealers; tractors(semi), trailers, trucks, service (taxi, bus, ambulance, etc), and race. There is also a new garage and new computer to make managing vehicles easier while in the area.
