    BUG/ISSUE REPORT:

    Stambecco Tires are somewhat odd:

I did some comparsion between the availalable tires and I am surprised by the results:

Stambecco with 6 lug portal axles can use:

    • Bar-Grip Tires
    • Mud-Terrain Tires
    • Standard Tires
    • Crawler Tires (not availalable for spare tire) Those tires are slightly larger than the others.

Trying to climb the different offroad terrains on GridMap V2 from left outermost to right results in some surprising results: (6x6, locked diffs, low range, limited by traction only not by power)

Bar-Grip Tires and Mud-Terrain-Tires both manage arround 47,5 in 1 Sand/Gravel. Standard tires only slightly less at 45 and Crawler tires even manage 50.

In 2 Mud, Bar-Grip Tires, Mud-Terrain-Tires AND Standard Tires:confused: all manage 40. Crawler tires slightly more at 42,5.

On 3 Sand/Gravel Bar-Grip Tires and Mud-Terrain Tires are tied at 42,5. Standard Tires are slighty worse at 40 and Crawler Tires again win this at 45.

On 4 Grass, Bar-Grip-Tires, Mud-Terrain-Tires and Standard Tires all manage 44, Crawler Tires again slightly better at 46.

Summary: Bar-Grip Tires and Mud-Terrain Tires are pretty much identical. Offroad performance for Standard Tires is impressive but nothing can beat the Crawler Tires.

    Acceleration:

    Bar-Grip Tires
and Mud-Terrain Tires are tied with arround 101 seconds from 0 - 100 kph.

Standard Tires take forever and accelerate much worse than the more offroad focused tires:confused:. Yes, on standard grid map underground. (Asphalt)

Crawler Tires besides being best at offroading also happen to be best at acceleration:p, requiring "only" 90,7 second. Somewhat surprising considering their size and not exactly street focused tread;).

Braking tests mirror those results which Crawler Tires only being slightly worse than Bar-Grip-Tires and Mud-Terrain Tires. Best braking is achieved with Standard Tires but it should be noted that those didnt start up from 100 kph because I was to impatient to wait the eternity required to get up to that speed.

Using a more powerful Diesel Engine with Stage 1 Turbocharging confirms the acceleration ranking.

    Coasting from 100 kph:

Coasting from 100 kph with the clutch depressed (to avoid engine braking affecting the results) shows very significant differences in rolling resistance between those tires:

Crawler Tires have the least rolling resistance:confused:
followed by Bar-Grip Tires and Mud-Terrain Tires
and lastly Standard Tires with horrendously high rolling resistance and as a result a notable shorter coasting distance of only 466m.

    FINAL SUMMARY:

    • There is no reason to use anything but the Crawler Tires as they are best both offroad and onroad.
    • Bar-Grip-Tires and Mud-Terrain Tires are pretty much identical performance wise
    • Standard Tires are surprisingly capable offroad but are quite abysmal overall. No reason at all to use these ever as all the offroad tire options will beat them even on road.

    Suggestions:

    • Have a look at the Standard Tires. They should probably perform much worse offroad but much better on road. Their rolling resistance is ridicolous.
    • Crawler Tires are op:p. Maybe they should have some drawback compared to Bar-Grip-Tires and Mud-Terrain Tires.
    • Bar-Grip-Tires and Mud-Terrain Tires are pretty much identical, making their choice mostly cosmetic. Not sure if they should be somewhat different depending on terrain types.

Thank you for reading and consideration. :)

they need to get an employee who will deal with the balance, the whole game is a complete contradiction and often a huge illogicality

every tire does that on the sand groundmodel, it's just how it's worked for ages.

hmm, it seems like you're correct, there's a typo in the flexbody node group assignment, they should read "tire_RR" and "tire RL".

I am saying that they should make a snowman that is able to fit in the cack of a van or even able to climb in.
try jumping in the back of the Autobello Stambecco. you wont be able to get in and it would be cool to for if you make a Youtube vid.

Also has anyboddy ever complaned about the fact that when your tire deflated the rubber dose not come off so that you are only driving on a rim?

BUG/ISSUE REPORT - Autobello Stambecco Drivetrain

Some minor things about the drivetrain of the Stambecco:

    4X4

    • Intershaft / intershaft_f name is so long, that the displayed RPM is cut away from the drivetrain app
    • Connecting Intershaft / intershaft_f (engaging FWD) displays the status
message Transfercase: Locked both in Drivetrain App and drivetrain control next to speedometer
    • Disconnecting Intershaft / intershaft_f in the Drivetrain App gives the message: Front Output Shaft Mode: Disconnected instead which is more accurate.
    • Connecting intershaft / intershaft_f again in the Drivetrain App gives the more accurate Front Output Shaft Mode: Connected message.
    • None of those actions are displayed on the simple drivetrain app next to the speedometer. Something that will held true for the later tested locking and unlocking of differentials.
    • Engaging/Disengaging FWD via the simple Drivetrain App is called Transfercase: Locked / Unlocked. No mention of any shaft besides it appearantly doing the very same thing as connecting the Intershaft.
    • Locking/Unlocking Front and Rear Differential via the simple drivetrain app next to the speedometer works as expected. However if you lock/unlock the differentials using the Drivetrain App, that action is not visible on the simple drivetrain app. Differentials in the simple drivetrain app next to the speedometer display the wrong last state they were active in creating.

    6X6

    • Similar as above
    • Rear Rear Differential is incorrectly called Differential Rear Right / differential_RR
    • Rear Rear Differential name is also to long due to this, cutting away RPM from the Drivetrain App
    • You can lock the Rear Differential and the Rear Rear Differential individually in the Drivetrain App. You can only lock/unlock both Rear Differentials with the Simple Drivetrain App next to the Speedometer. To be fair, it is hard to imagine a case where you would want to lock only one of the rear differentials and not both.

    Suggestions:

    • Check Drivetrain configuration for double entries / divergent naming.

    • Rename Differential Rear Right to Rear Rear Differential

    Video:

    Final question:

Shouldnt the portal axles be more visible in the drivetrain app? After all, they add one final reduction gear.

Is it just me or is the D15 Prerunner and most of those parts absolutely broken since the new update?
