0.24 Discussion thread

In the new version v0.24, I cannot change the control from arrow keys to WASD. Why is this?

 

custom curves for your pedals would be great. the linearity slider doesn't fix the problem I'm having.

 

The tuning options like toe and camber need to be in degrees. % doesn't mean anything.

One more mistake: the Stanced variant of the new Pessima has no ABS!

idk if this could be considered a bug for the new pessima.

but i though its halfshafts was pretty weak, so i wanted to mod them.

well, in the model, there is something weird going on with the halfshafts. idk if it was left purposefully like that.


the single dark grey shaft is named midsize_halfshaft_R
and the dual dark grey shafts under it is called midsize_halfshaft_L
but both grey touring shafts above them are independent L and R halfshaft

in the jbeam they both reference independent L and R halfshafts, but the model for the stock halfshafts seems to be a bit confused lol.

Your issue is a mod with D-series skin overwrites. Skins changed since the update - van skins are broken too. Try Fictional Skin Pack, if you have it. DFA pack is my second guess.

 

Hey everyone, I like to do police chases in beamng due to it's realistic driving characteristics. After this update, traffic AI no longer yields to police and emergency vehicle sirens and there are no longer ambient "suspects" driving around in traffic that are chaseable, usually ending with "Suspect is under arrest!" Does anybody know how to reenable "suspects" and police chases? Very disappointed in this update

 

It's not anything to be disappointed about, it's a common bug. Most updates have them, and they're usually about as severe as you've described here. Little things get broken, but usually in the first few hotfixes, all of it is repaired. We're due for a hotfix soon, hopefully within the next few days. Should be back to normal, and until then, you have lots of fun new content to play with.

This one is documented afaik, and should be fixed soon.

 

i made the mistake of checking the steam forums to see what people are saying about the new update. Literally 2 people actively complaining about mods not working and wishing the dev team death.

 

They sure know where to put the bomb, don't 'ey??

 

I have 2 complaints/issues with the UI apps customization.
1. Why is the Navigation app alignment off-centre (or at least was)
2. You cannot rescale apps unless the rescale arrow is at the bottom bar where it shows the Xbox controls
