Updated 0.16.1 (1.7GB), black screen still exists. The cache has been cleaned up,all the mods has been uninstalled. Windows 7 Ultimate 8.00GB RAM i3-7100 GTX 1050(Driver version 430.53)
Was this just added in this update? I've only seen this feature in a couple of other games on Steam...
I'm sorry devs, I really want to like you, but you actually ruined the Sunburst with this update. And kind of the Moonhawk too, but especially the Sunburst.
I'm not quite sure about the Sunburst and the Moonhawk, they seemed kind of unique with the boxyness of them. I feel like near the release of the update, they should have hold a poll or asked about the tweaked designs of some of the cars. But so far, I'm not quite sure about the Sunburst and the Covet, yet I don't think they're "ruined" Actually, I'm kind of liking the Moonhawk in this design. It actually makes sense with how rounded the bottom is.
Nice update. I really like new engine sounds, but I think v6's and inline 6's should sound a little bit louder and juicy. 6.0 liter V8 diesel sounds a little bit non realistic because it sounds not diesellike enough. And now d-series, h-series and roamer need diesel gauge cluster, diesel automatic transmission, torque converter and front and rear ends.
I disagree about the Sunburst, it looks more like a Japanese sedan from 2009 with it's new, rounder shape. The Moonhawk however, does look a bit off now. They should have used the new design for the 1960s Moonhawk while retaining the old design for the 1970s one. Same with the ETK 800, the old design should be used for something else, maybe a large ETK SUV?
It may be because of this: Fixed direct lighting for translucent materials Previously there was a bug where this kind of material would not get lit correctly. They appeared dark/shadowed all the time. Now they are being lit correctly, and the specular may be more pronounced in those occasion. Thanks, we will check that. Thanks, we will be checking that too. Italy takes around 1:20 minutes on an SSD. Although we also worked on improving the loading times, they did not make it for this update. This will come in later more likely. With those we are down to 1 minute. Italy is still the biggest map, so also the longest loading times atm. And about the black screen issues with the UI, we are working on it. For now there's nothing much we can suggest. Still with 0.16.0.1 and with safe mode enabled error code 0xC0000409 STATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERRUN either with or without mods I get that error code, sorry I feel like I am a VERY broken record now
This does not detect the flickering (every 2nd frame is black on the main menu) experienced on my CrossFire setup as a problem, so "cefWorkaroundMultiGPU" needs to be changed from "false" to "true" manually under game-settings.ini (Documents\BeamNG.drive\settings), now it's all good! Thanks for the workaround!
I had a black screen before updating my gpu drivers and clearing my cache. Solved it. I havent read through all pages here yet but i can say my UI is sluggish as hell. Will read through all post later when i dont ENJOY THIS SO EFFIN MUCH! DAMN you guys got this thing better and better, dont know if its the torsion bar update that did it but i have more or less no more floaty feeling on the straights, more or less no deadzone wobble which i used to have when driving. The audio updates err like angels singing and im just happy
Another bug: if you select a car to see the variants in the Spillway scenario you cannot go back to the car menu with the arrow on top of the menu; you have to press ESC to go back into the car menu. And I've noticed that if you retry the scenario, sometimes while there's the countdown you can still hear the points you've done in the run before. There are some spikes on the front bumper of the Sunburst after a hard hit.
The bugged out i-frames of the menu video actually looks kinda cool. Reminds me of the general aesthetic of Watch_Dogs 2...
This issue has appeared since 0.16 update, which (as far as I have seen) affects vehicles that have a roll-cage, therefore, vehicles, such as hill-climb & race/rally variants have this strange issue when I am playing on "Lowest" graphical setting in the game. If roll-cage is removed from "Parts" menu, the car will no longer have this issue, therefore, it is definitely an issue with roll-cages textures/materials or something else related to this part.
