Which car is such? For me I think many are quite well balanced, but there is always room for improvement as perfect is pretty impossible to make. Things I think being different from IRL currently are: Wind / road noise drowns engine at steady 80kph IRL, engine braking at higher rpm surely does make noise, but also throttle pedal position should affect engine braking volume IRL, then scale which engine gets louder at high rpm is a lot, while in game it is quite mild change from 0 throttle to full throttle or from idle to full scream. Wind noise alone is very loud at higher speeds, especially with older vehicles at 150kph wind noise can be so much that you can hear just a little of engine. Also exhaust can be softer at idle and raspier at higher rpm and load, in game idle can be quite strong with some vehicles. Main thing what I miss though is how thorttle position is not affecting much of volume, which makes for example throttle blip with Sunburst to sound much less than what one excepts. As throttle butterflies close they kill lot of sound, so when blipping there is quick increase of sound volume and tone too which is what I think could be what you are also missing.
Might just be me but I find when down shifting the sound of the engine isn't loud enough.... well at 6,000 rpm and you can't hear if the engine is even on? The sound is way two quite when off the gas and it's not just this car either.
I don't know how much it should be heard, but here is some race car which is bit newer era for comparison:
Sorry I somehow pasted about the engine sound in the one trying to help IAchievedBacon, look at my post on page13 I did a video.
I did try your video and then also hillclimb pessima and I can hear engine sound, gear whine is there too that can make it harder to pick up engine sound, also as I'm using headset that can affect so that with speakers it is harder to hear, especially if using lower volumes. Hillclimb Pessima is quite loud car so that if volume is adjusted to Pessima to feel not too loud, it can be harder to hear engine when engine braking. Also it is kinda of humm instead of roar at engine braking, not sure if it would need to be more coarse as it is race car without sound proofing and such. If I adjust this video volume to similar I use in BeamNG, there certainly is more engine sound and everything is kind more brutal sounding: So race versions and street versions might need different tuning in that aspect for sure.
I can't find eSBR after updating. I am already checked game files and reinstalled the game, this didn't help.
Have you checked in the SBR4 menu itself? Should be near or at the bottom of it, has a bright-green colour
You probably have a mod or changes related to Italy saved somewhere. Go to your userfolder > levels folder, and see if you have an 'Italy' folder. If yes, those are changes you probably saved in the editor and that are now preventing new stuff from showing up. Delete that folder. Looks like a messed up car color. Part Selector > Color and try to change it slightly Mods?
The only one that I can think of that would affect the SBR4 that I have installed would be that Fiction Police pack... I don't think it's the Realistic Headlights mod. EDIT: Disabled that mod and still no change.
You should still check with all mods disabled first, would save a lot of time if the issue is caused by one of them.
Please always disable mods before reporting bugs next time. Else we will end up going after issues that are being caused by mods. This is recommended in the first lines of every update thread too. Please check the first post.
The reason for the body shape changes is that all of these designs have literally been bothering me for years. I had managed to make the same mistake on all of them - making the greenhouse too wide, and the body sides too flat, so that on a lot of cars, there wasn't even space for the windows to roll down, and the proportions were not in line with any real cars. The ETK800's issue was that the rear was too wide and boxy, and the car was too tall overall. More body shape changes will be coming as we get around to overhauling the remaining vehicles. There are also some reasonably significant jbeam overhauls coming, the first of which you can already try with the separated subframes on the '98 Pessima. Those changes will eventually be migrated to all of the cars, and we'll hopefully be able to update the D-Series/H-Series/Roamer/Grand Marshal to have a properly detachable body/bed (like the other body-on-frame vehicles). We've devised a way to do this without significantly increasing the performance impact of the vehicle, and it makes every characteristic more realistic and detailed. You'll finally be able to rip the body and bed off the frame of the D-Series, like you already can with the Hopper, Moonhawk, Burnside, T-Series, and Bluebuck We understand this has the potential to break mods, but we want to focus on bringing all of the content up to the same standard that we've already set with some of the newer, more detailed vehicles. We're still in early access, after all Everything is work in progress and subject to change.
