Off-topic a bit - forgive me please! SPEED!!! I LOVED THAT MOVIE! Never had a girlfriend that didn't swoon over Keanu Reeves in that movie. I was but a teen when that came out but oh - WHAT A GREAT MOVIE! Those 80s and 90s movies were the best. Thanks for the 'bomb on bus' that is the first thing I thought of for my So-Cal Interstate and Nevada Interstate maps for a mission - not kidding.
Woah I had my steam acct with "OMSI Bus simulator" in cart. Then I went over to the Beam website and saw this at the trending thing at the side. Needless to say I have cancelled that and this looks so much better. THANK YOU DEVS!
Wow, the Track Builder was really unexpected! I made this thing in like 5 Minutes, it is so easy to work with! A big thank you to all of the devs that you always manage to surprise us! It kinda reminds me of a mix between Slot Cars and Planet Coaster building...
Love the update, lot's of features that make this game even more what I love about it-it's so damn realistic. The WCA bug is better, it locks at 14FPS now from the 7FPS previously (obviously still not quite playable), but it still isn't quite fixed. Haven't gotten to try out much yet, but I can't wait Except my mod now needs at least 24 hours of solid hard-work to update, with all the new features and stuff. That can wait.
I have an idea for a later update - this could be classed as feedback - make it so you can customize the bus screens in free roam, so that instead of no service you can give it a number and destination using the part selector
The descriptions in the Radial Menu for opening/closing the doors and kneeling the bus are missing. (For me at least)
anyone else just got a 290mb update after the original one? i've spent the whole night trying to fix my mods lol
no, it's still updating on the steam menu. Might be my bad internet, or just a one-off glitch that's nothing to do with beam. NVM IT FINISHED WHILE TYPING THIS, ALL FINE
Free roam camera resets back to vehicle camera after clicking apply under the tuning menu. Quite annoying
A bit of feedback here - could we maybe get the length of the route and the number of stops for each route on the selection screen?
I've got a few questions regarding the bus and how it could get modded... I've done some research and it turns out that for some reason US doesn't use 3 axle non-articulated city buses... So... Then I've done some research on the articulated busses and how they work. The real life equivalent of our new bus in fact has an articulated spec which is a pusher style (rear engined and the trailer axle is powered) which means that it has one of those fancy stabilization thingies in the joint. The question is: would it be possible to simulate a stabilization system (ani-sway) in BeamNG? And if so, how? Or would it be just easier to say screw it and make it rear engined mid wheel drive and ditch the low floor nature of the bus for the trailer and keep the low floor in the front? Also are there any good crash test videos of articulated buses for reference?
