I've noticed a problem over a few hours playtime in the new update. AI CANNOT drive in chase or flee mode. Any map, any moderately fast car, any bend, they don't brake and plough straight into the next rock/barrier/tree. Can post videos if necessary.
The drag strip should be very grippy with drag tyres, and the Moonhawk twisting to the right is the new torque twisting simulation.
Enable 'Multiseat' in the Gameplay options and then spawn another vehicle. Please clean reinstall your game: https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#How_do_I_perform_a_clean_reinstall.3F And remove any 'launch commands' you might have added in the Steam game's properties (to fix the launcher not showing up) The greyed out part is normal. Are you 200% sure you did the Clean Reinstall properly? And sure all your mods are moved out / disabled? Either the mod are downloading (You should see the percentage where the + button is), or something else. Can you retry, and if it happens again, post a Support ID here: https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#..._a_.27Support_Request.27._How_do_I_do_that.3F @ Turbo/etc sound reports: See first post Fixed in the upcoming hotfix
Bolide have a few issues: Invisible spoiler It's jbeamed, but doesn't have textures. And invisible quad custom exhaust Also drag cars are too powerful. I flipped Drag Moonhawk on normal road.
Found a few more things: Tire smoke is gone Engine sounds are weird and glitchy. But those glitches are also in the demonstration video's, so maybe it's intentional? I'm guessing it's buggy, I've never heard engines sound like that and it seems to be at random times. Engine sounds are quite muffled. AI in new scenario's just doesn't start driving. Just stands there at the start and when you drive 10 meters it says 'You're gonna let them get away with that?' or something. I guess it assumes they left me in the dirt when the distance between us is growing. Which is weird in a race. But then scenario descriptions aren't loading either. So I don't even know what's going on there. When I choose to spawn at West Highway (Utah) it spawns me at Industrial. But random spawn locations have been happening in 0.10.0 too I believe. Vehicle selector thumbnails are out of focus. Or stretched beyond their original resolution, probably the latter, the buttons might be slightly larger, but my custom 720p thumbnails look out of focus too. Camera is super eager to move to the front of the car if you roll a centimeter back. Reving an engine in Neutral disengages Parking Brake. Drag Barstows like to do 1 wheel wheelies now and jiggle around while doing a wheelie. It's quite strange... I suspect the diff's are bugged and it's sending all the power to 1 of the wheels and randomly changing it. And honestly, the whole mod situation is more of a hassle now. Now I can't just have duplicate mods and deactivate one, I manually have to move my mods to another location when I update one. Not a huge deal, but just a little annoying. Especially since the game broke a lot of mods yet again. I was waiting for a large amount of mods to be updated to 0.10.0, but I guess somehave to start over, making it less likely that they'll ever appear. I understand this is part of game development, but it's just a lot of bad news in one update. But... multi lap scenario's timer finally works as it should, so that's cool. Btw could we get the new WCUSA screenshots out of the main-menu-background-rotation? And the new scenario's out of the list? It's just using up space and plenty of us won't be able to acccess that content for years.
WCUSA Map looks really good, but is extremely FPS intensive. Could it be improved? Having low settings ruins the experience.
HDR must be enabled (shouldn't even be an option at this point) About sounds, see first post. In order of what seems to be the biggest hit on performance: - Dynamic Reflections : Either turn to minimum or off - SSAO - Mesh/Object Quality - Lighting Quality Then it also depends from both your CPU and GPU.
Ah okay, because the Afterfire video shows off the same sounds I'm mentioning I was assuming the 'strange things' were something else. (Also another not specifically listed audio bug, the cars get a Lot of reverb in WCUSA even when you're out of the city.)
Yes, but it is kind of weird since once you lauch with a 1000hp rwd muscle car (like my moonhawk v10) it gets traction in 2nd gear on the begiining, but then at about 150mph close to the end of the track it.suddenly looses traction due to sudden change of grip. I think that it should be more gradual.
After tinkering with settings a lot I noticed that I could get a decent framerate. I just have to drive away from the Chinatown spawn. If I stay there I get about 9 fps, still, but when I drive away I get 30+ fps. There are other parts of the map, like a few intersections very near to that spawn, where this happens too. I also noticed it on the highway somewhere. One other place is near the building that's under construction. It's near a lot of sand at a slope and the building is unfinished (not as in under construction, but that part of the map isn't done. Pillars aren't reaching the ground, it would collapse in real life and the dirt is very unnatural. It looks very WIP.) Also if I start my screen recorder (ShadowPlay) it drops to 9 fps and never recovers when I stop it. I have to restart the game. Edit: Nope it stays untill I reboot my pc.
This is a great update but if you ask me the turbo (I think) is quite loud and sounds like a vacuum but otherwise great update love the NOS and especially adore the new map.
