after 16 gb game performance wiill not improve unless the game is really ram heavy for some reason. and it's ddr3 and pretty slow too.

wrong place, mods go into the user folder which you can locate by pressing Windows + R and typing this %localappdata%\BeamNG.drive in

that's not even that hot. did you check the cpu or gpu temperature? i think you need an 3rd party software like QuickCPU or MSI afterburner to see...
probably just, thermal throttling. laptops don't do games all that well. (from personal experience) especially if it's thin wouldn't be surprised...
and somewhat useless. adds nothing to improve the game other than "muh muh realism"
