Ohwait, my mistake. I misread your specs. Your GPU is a 'web browsing' grade GPU, essentially, so it won't do well in video games at all.
The cars handle pretty nicely in the current public version. Just ease off the throttle a bit and drive a bit more carefully as they won't handle...

It's most likely that your CPU is the limiting factor so more ram won't do you any good.

My laptop has no issues with it. To me it sounds like your CPU or GPU is getting too hot and is clocking down to save itself from burning up....

When you spawn it it's half a meter in the air versus you being able to push it down maybe 5cm, at most, with your weight. That's the difference.
Another thing to consider is that lua is single threaded. Meaning that if you spawn 4+ cars(with a quad core or better) your fps will be limited...
