love the mod, allows me to play music without opening something else which gives me a lot of extra fps! is the first song of a playlist supposed to be empty, am i doing something wrong? also, when i use certain mods like the i-series pur the music gets a lot less loud when i rev. i know it's a mod and isn't meant to work, but it's weird and i wonder if there's a fix.

      Author's Response
The first song is supposed to be empty, yes. This is the equivalent of turning the radio off.
The "variable volume" is a result of BeamNG's sound volume mixing (that many other games do as well). The engine of the car is so loud that the other sounds need to be played quieter to avoid sound clipping.

Only problem is you can only use Latin characters for song name and not for example Cyrillic letters (commonly know as Russian characters) or some yeat songs don't work because of an weird e character,
like Monëy So Big by yeat or аз сам загадка by Aziz, so I have to edit the names and if i don't it wont even load into the Zeit radio assistant.
    1. DaddelZeit
      Author's Response
This is out of my control - some part of BeamNG's file system just does not support non-latin characters. Sorry.

The whole idea of this is cool but if i can't hear the music then it's kinda useless..

      Author's Response
Both mod description and forums thread state that first person audio is enabled by default. You can turn it off in the settings menu opened when clicking on the cover image.

Good mod! But I have problems ith the mod...
    1. The UI app where you can play the music doesn't work (it's practically stuck)
    2. There is no sound from the music
    3. I don't find the folder for the covers.

Such a good mod! Can you please add an effects button (for example: Reverb, echo, slow down, Speed up. so you can do slowed + reverb songs) imagine how cool it would be to go on a night drive with a slowed song playing
    1. DaddelZeit
      Author's Response
Unfortunately not. I cannot apply effects to only one specific audio source.

    1. DaddelZeit

Unfortunately no, this is blocked by the game.

for the person below me, the fix is to click the most left arrow on the radio ui app, then click the most right arrow once and then click the 2nd most right arrow to get to your playlist and play songs. Anyways, amazing mod with a certain specialty which is very hard to obtain, and the implementation is great!

This UI app works as expected. Interestingly, if you happen to have Logitech racing wheel, which supports TrueForce, depending on the settings, you should be able to hear the currently played song through the wheel base, which acts as external subwoofer in this instance. I guess this is limitation of BeamNG.Drive itself, since it uses audio to generate TrueForce effects while driving.

Love the mod! Have you tried making a version that work with spotify? That would be nice! Anyway, Great mod!

BeamNG does not allow any sort of outside connections without using a port protocol with a local IP. That is why multiplayer mods like KissMP and BeamMP need a bridge to work. Changing the mod to work like this would also require a bridge program. I don't want to do that.

    Pretty cool mod!
    Just one thing.
Can you do something about the echoing, because when I drive like in a tunnel or on shuto expressway the echoing is really annyoing.
I tried playing around with the audio in the game, but nothing solves the problem.
Other than that it's a superb mod and it is perfect for night cruising.
    Thank you!

I tried removing environment filters from the sound that the mod plays but failed since those are applied in the FMOD sound pass and there's no option to disable filtering for external sound from files.

Loving this mod, adds a really nice immersive experince.
There's a small bug though, where the music doesn't play when i step out of the car. It's totally silent, when I think it should be quieter/muffled.

Also, would love a few (i hope simple) QOL features to be added, namely:
    - Choosing a default playlist to play when radio is turned on
    - Radio automatically turns on when ignition is started and turns off when the car is turned off.

Not super important features, but they would help with immersion

The new update has fixed the bug I've struggled with previously. Now that I'm able to properly review the mod, I must say that I'm very happy with how it works! The UI is very user-friendly, and adding new songs is very easy. The only issue I have with this mod is the inability to add songs which contain characters with diacritic marks (ą, é, ś, ż, etc.) in their titles.

PS: I think my last review was too critical of your mod. Sorry about that. Keep up the good work :)

Ohh ok the mod works for me now, thanks for listening to feedback :D Awesome mod honestly!!

If there's some features I'd like to see implemented in the future:
-being able to name playlists and give them icons, to sort of pretend like they're radio stations like in Forza Horizon.
-NPC vehicle support and customizability, what playlist will a vehicle type be more often to play, how much they'll change to another song/playlist in the middle of another one, etc.
-more song slots, at least 12-15, unless there's data limitations then 10 is fine.
-maybe or maybe not possible, vehicles can vibrate more if a song is louder.
    1. DaddelZeit
      Author's Response
Thanks :) Glad it ended up working.

I considered expanding the playlist feature in the past, but ultimately didn't end up implementing it as it'd require some major rework of the Controls UI-App if I were to do it properly. This might happen in the future - I might also rewrite the Controls app as an IMGUI window and move away from HTML completely.

I won't be adding support for NPC vehicles. There's not really a point to it.

There's no limit on how many songs you can add to a playlist hardcoded into the mod, you can add as many as you'd like with the V3.0 Assistant.

I'd love to implement some physical feedback from the radio, however I have no way of streaming playback amplitude back to the Lua code. This can't be done for technical reasons.
