Rain that rolls in, storms that darken the sky, fog that settles over the road and then clears to sunshine an hour later. Universal Dynamic Weather turns the fixed skies of any map into weather that lives and changes while you drive.

Pick a condition whenever you want, from clear and overcast through fog, drizzle, rain, thunderstorm and heavy storm. Or turn on the forecast and let the weather move through those conditions on its own, easing from calm to stormy and back the way real weather does. You decide how fast it changes, and with the forecast mix you decide how often each kind of weather shows up, so one drive can stay mostly clear and the next can be a wet grey grind.

When you want to set the scene exactly, open the custom builder. Rain, fog, cloud, thunder and wind each get their own slider, and the weather builds live as you drag them. A light drizzle under heavy cloud with no thunder, or a dry day with a howling wind, whatever you are after, you can build it.

The wind is real. It pushes your car as you drive, stronger in the heavier weather, coming in gusts and shifting direction so it never feels like a fixed force, with the current speed shown right in the panel. Grip and the wet look of the road change with the conditions too, so a downpour is something you feel through the wheel, not just something you see. You can set the time of day and hold it wherever you like, from a bright morning to the middle of a stormy night, and rain, wind and thunder all come with sound that follows the weather.

Storms actually feel like storms now. The sky goes dark, the sun and its glare fall away, and the rain comes down heavy across the whole view.

Everything runs from the Dynamic Weather app in the UI Apps menu, rebuilt to match the look of the game. There is nothing to type and no console needed. Add the app once, pick a preset or build your own, and drive. By JayBeam.

its a great mod, but the raindrops are just too basic. They dont feel interactive and there are too few of them, its not enough

Whoever did the Fog setting so realistic i really love it. The heavy storm lightning thing is kinda too extreme like it just flash bangs you but its fine (maybe add a setting to reduce the flashbang or remove it entirely?) anyway this is an updated review so yeah im happy :)

a very good mod especially with the new graphics but the only thing missing is the raindrops actually interacting with the car making it wet but thats probably not possible yet

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! The actual water droplets and streaks running down the car body are a built-in shader effect that BeamNG doesn't expose to mods, so I can't add those cleanly in 0.39. If BeamNG ever supports it down the line i'll look into it again. Appreciate the idea!

This is a known issue and should be fix whenever the moderators approve it. Thanks for taking the time to review this.

I know i had this earlier when it released first and it worked fine. Now the app dosent show anymore in the ui Apps. Even after trying alot of times with restarting game etc. Maybe there is something wrong in the files? Could you check if you missed something by any chance.

Thanks for the heads up, it was a files issue. When I zipped up 2.0 it saved the folder paths in a way the game couldn't read, so the app just didn't show in UI Apps for anyone downloading it. Worked fine for me since I run it unpacked, so I missed it completely. It's fixed now and the update is uploading, should be approved by tomorrow. Once it's live, remove the mod and add it back and the Dynamic Weather app will be there again. Thanks again for actually reporting it, big help.
