In order to be able to make realistic trains, one needs the ability to brake and to power the wheels.
Update notes:
Feel free to use this in your work, just credit me.
- New chassis, directly copied from a wip mod by me(removed slots and a lot of other stuff)
- Reworked wheels.
- Added rotators for braking
- Added powertrain for braking, wheelspeed, ability to power the wheels.
- Mesh for stuff
IMPORTANT:
To drive the axles you need to do the following:
Add an engine with a gearbox and transfercase.
Go to chassis_2.jbeam and replace "propulsed=0" with propulsed=1 in the rotator section.
Go to the powertrain section and add an input for the differentials.
It can bounce up and down when accelerating, that is because this is meant to be used as a base for a locomotive/train.
I hope that this get it's own thread where I can help with suspensions, bogies and more trains
