Beta Titan Prerunner 3.5

The original highly-edited Automation trophy truck

  1. 2.0 - The Competition Update

    skyeyemx
Major changes visually and a new engine and transmission, to bring the Titan up to specs with SCORE Trophy Truck specifications

    Changes include:

Weight (previously 4,470lb, now 3,517 lb)
    Horsepower (previously 870, now 980)
    Torque (previously 1352 lb-ft, now 671 lb-ft)
Gearbox (previously 7-speed automatic, now 6-speed sequential)
Suspension (added a rear sway bar)
    And more small changes.

The body was changed a bit to give the Titan a more serious and professional trophy truck look,...
  2. 1.12 - Suspension update, and new testing track; Bajarama!

    skyeyemx
Testing has now begun on Bajarama; previouisly, all testing was done on the Endurodrome. This switch should bring a whole new wave of improvements and updates, so be aware!

I changed the front suspension back to double wishbones, because the solid axle was just too damned fragile. I stiffened up the rear springs (slightly) and rear shocks (noticeably) in order to reduce rear-end bounce

    Tips;

Use RWD in Bajarama; 4WD creates too much understeer

Let off the throttle before a hard jump;...
  3. 1.10 - 165% increase in suspension travel!

    skyeyemx
I changed the suspensions from double wishbone front / leaf sprung rear, to coil-sprung solid axles on both sides. According to Automation, this changes my suspension travel from 634mm to 1,040mm.

Also, I managed to increase ride height by two inches, too

Spring rates and damper stiffness don't seem to be affected, but the improved ride height and suspension travel should provide a much better driving experience

Be aware that these changes have made the front suspension more fragile;...
  4. 1.8 - Improved suspension handling on rough landings

    skyeyemx
I stiffened both front and rear dampers, and slightly stiffened the front and rear spring rates (the front ones sliiiightly more). This should help reduce the suspension bottom-out that happens sometimes on harsh landings, as well as improve handling at higher speeds, at the cost of possibly bumpier ride at lower speeds (though not much)

Also I changed the default color back to white because I like it better
  5. 1.6 - Minor visual updates

    skyeyemx
Changed default colour to SKY Industries Sky Blue to make the decals easier to read from a distance

Added various small details; spare tire in bed, changes to tail lights and headlights, new foglights, and wipers for the windshield, driver side window, and rear window

No changes were made to the handling, though keep in mind, changes and updates can happen at any time (I continuously test my vehicles in BeamNG)
  6. 1.4 - Completely reworked suspension

    skyeyemx
I completely reworked the suspension on it... again.

Now it ought to drive much better on rough terrain like the Endurodrome or Bajarama.
  7. Update 1.2: Drastically improved suspension

    skyeyemx
Update 1.2: Softened springs notably, slightly softened dampers, improved brakes, removed ABS
