I was excited to try this mod, but it didn't float, I thought I was doing something wrong but I never found a prefect medium to where it would float, bad mod.
The first boat, and after three and a half years, still the best one by far. However, I've noticed it is EXTREMELY slow. Even with winds of 60mph combined with the thruster, I can't get her going faster than 4 knots when these ships could typically see speeds of more than 10 knots. Perhaps age has finally caught up to the legendary Pembroke? Or perhaps I'm just an idiot who did something wrong without knowing...
It's not really age, but probably just physics. BeamNG doesn't (and for a variety of reasons, can't) simulate fluids realistically. Not to say that the Pembroke is of the highest build quality to start with, but sadly it's not possible to get it working near as well as the real-world counterpart.
I've loved this mod for ages, and it's probably one of my favorites. The amount of detail put into this ship is incredible. The sinking mechanics are realistic, and the cannons are effective. Wind sailing is very fun. I'm sure this will go down in BeamNG history as not only the first ship, but the best.
Love it. Shooting a cannon at it from across a custom self made map just for this specific thing is amazing. I opened the mxm grid map that is completely bare, it's endless I believe or I haven't hit the end yet. But in the editor, I lowered the plane to add water than the opposite direction I raised it quite a bit and I can't see the boat from where I have the cannon, but after a few tries and reaiming, I have it down. Shoot, some time goes by and bam. Sunk my battleship.
