This mod is absolutely amazing. Got the full version when it came out and it quickly became one of my most used cars in the game. I can definitely recommend getting the full version.

Every single vaguely edge on the entire car looks terribly compressed and pixellated (most notably on the base model grille panel), half of which don't seem like places that would even require individual seam materials. Not sure how that's happened but it looks very obvious from like all angles, I feel like a quick 5 second glance at a car to acknowledge "yeah that looks bad, that should be improved" should maybe be done before selling it as developer quality. The design also seems very generic and uninspired, would fit right in with the very first beamng car designs from 2013 but times have moved on since then and it'd be nice to see literally anything mildly unique, I know its irl counterparts weren't exactly stunning design breakthroughs but they're distinguishable at a distance at least. Other than that the mod seems very "just alright", nothing special and everything seems like more effort was spent trying to replicate an official beamng car on a budget instead of being its own cool thing

I don't agree with thomsen's initial review. How did he know if the specs were exact? he would have ripped the file out of the zip and imported it back to automation to check things like price, that's how, then he wrote the 1 star review. I agree with your reply as using the automation to make acar that BEHAVES more realistically, looks and stats sheets are more pointless if it doesn't drive or act like one so you did the right thing by taking many artistic liberties to get more body roll etc. But in future you can actually edit this stuff in for example the suspension.jbeam directly with notepad++ to reduce rollbar stiffness etc

I used to drive this for fun to help me make my own 400z tribute mod a successor. Good mod, would be great to have it visually upto date with the new PBR lighting model etc.

Good stuff, love to see classics like this. There's a few value changes to clutch/in/out etc you can make using notepad++ in the engine.jbeam file should solve that clutch time right up

It's look great! (and surprisingly run well even on minimum graphics) And now I can use this map to calculate my fuel consumption on various routes I've traveled. (Even the map is based on Germany and really go straight away but... anyways)

The Picnic is one amazing vehicle and it's certainly worth the small price Lucas asks for it. It's high quality and is a tonne of fun to crash, mess around with or just cruise around in on late evenings in-game.
