The mod that finally brings the pre-runner suspension to the regular D-Series bodies! This currently adds one new frame with the ability to have fully functioning pre-runner front solid axle and independent suspensions, and a custom semi-triangulated 4-link rear suspension, all in a package that fits around the trucks original bodies and beds.

The new frame also has a space for a rear mounted fuel cell, available in both gasoline and diesel fuel types. All of the axles main components are functional, such as the sway bars, bump stops, pre-runner coilovers and the bypass shocks. Currently there are two configurations to showcase the possibilities of this mod.

There's "The Down n' Dirty" diesel rock crawler, and the "Workman's Comp" pre-runner.

    Updates and changes.

    -V1.1 : The Release Update!
-This version of the mod is for the actual release of it. V1 had an attempted launch but after some conflicting issues with release, and being generally unhappy with it, I decided to further work on the mod and improve it before it made an official release.
Changes and additions to the mod include...
-Retexturing and improvements to every model and asset I had added to the game

-Complete rework of the suspension model in the to avoid flexbody clipping, fixing of JBeam to improve travel and performance, and improvements to the overall aesthetics of the modeling.

-The addition of a cantilever style suspension that has excellent travel characteristics. This suspension type is now standard on the Workman's Comp pre-runner config.

    screenshot_2022-03-11_12-34-49.png

    screenshot_2022-03-11_12-35-08.png

-Every frame style, length and bed type (aside from the upfit frame) has compatibility with the long travel suspensions. Choosing out those frames is the same as it would be on the regular length frame.

-Fixed the issue of the IFS not extending all the way. Also fixed the ghost damage to front end issue.

-Complete rework to the fuel cells to allow for better clearance.

    Known issues and future plans.

-The cantilever suspension is sometimes known to invert on itself. Under normal conditions it's highly unlikely to happen, but under odd impacts to the axle and generally wrecking will cause it to invert and make it almost undrivable. The flex body on the springs is also very uncooperative so the spring is not necessarily placed where it should be.

-The fuel cell is prone to some... weird... combustion issues. I have a hard time replicating the issue to try and fix it, but I'll look into it further and try to remedy it.

-Under one circumstance, a friend of mine that tested it had issues with textures showing up with the Cummins Diesel mod installed. While I didn't have these same issues and can't confirm you may have these issues, please take caution when installing, and if textures don't show up that may be the cause. I will look into this issue further and update as soon as I can.

-As far as future updates go, I plan on bringing this over to the H-Series and Roamer too. There will also be an update later on that adds different rear suspension geometries that would be better suited for either pre-running or rock crawling. Some textures are going the get some more detail later on, just as added details and a more natural, realistic look.

Hope you guys enjoy the mod, any feedback is much appreciated and I look forward to future updates!

this is a really cool mod, but I am having really bad issues with the dashboard wobbling. with a controller it's no problem, but when i am using a wheel it gets really rough and becomes undrivable sadly

I loved this mod, but since the last update it is completely broken. The interior wobbles, making the truck undriveable, and another small bug is that the tailgate pops off its hinges a bit. I hope you manage to fix these bugs.

great mod, have been waiting for this since the prerunners became a thing! Have been using it for a while now but now I wanna ask if there is any chance of getting these for the Upfit frame. Would be dope to have the big boys ride on propper suspension!

Super cool mod for some prerunners, I've been having intermittent problems with the textures but it's most likely a conflict with another mod

Amazing mod. I was very tired of being limited to the 3 link suspension on the standard truck frames. Is there any chance you could make this mod for the Roamer. The Roamer and D series use the exact same frame and thought that this mod would be amazing on the roamer too.

Do you think I could use this mod inside a mod I'm making? It happens to fit the body perfectly

Amazing mod man, love the hability to have such an amazing suspension on a "normal" D-Series. By the way, could you make this suspension usable with any frame? I want to combine this mod with the 6x6 mod of the D-Series but that also has its separate chassis so I can't combine them.
I know it could be difficult but i would appreciate it.
Keep up the good work. Nice seeing need mod ideas.

Glad you like the mod! I've pondered the idea of the 6X6 and it would absolutely be possible. However I don't envision this being something I end up doing, mostly because of some of the steps needed to do this (i.e. get permission to base the frame off of the current 6x6 mod frame, or if I were to do my own, the steps and process needed to make it myself. Which I believe I could do, but with how uptight I am about the quality, I'd have a hard time being happy with it.) If I see more feedback about this idea though I'll consider it further though.
