    About the map

LJD Big Fall is a huge Italian-style mountain island of about 15 x 15 km. Start at the port, cross the city and six towns, and climb all the way to the snowy summit at 4465 m, through long tunnels, bridges over rivers and waterfalls, and hairpins hanging above drops that never seem to end.

This is my 2nd map, the result of about 2 years of work (with some pauses). This is the launch version (beta 0.357): exciting updates are on the way.

    Features
    • From sea level to 4465 m: over 4300 m of vertical on a single island
    • Port, city and 6 towns with their own streets, built Italian style
    • Asphalt and gravel roads, long tunnels, bridges, rivers and waterfalls
    • Rocky coast, long beaches and snow at the top
    • 3 spawn points: Port, City and Giant Slide

    Missions (100+)
    • 70+ Cliff Crash: a car is parked on the edge of a cliff. Ram it into the void: your score is how destroyed it ends up. After the hit you take control of it to watch the fall (TAB switches back).
    • 20 Time Trials: city to city, climbs to the summit, descents, tunnels and some ultra-long ones for enthusiasts
    • 12 Police Escapes: short and long getaways all over the island
    • Rally stages, Long Jumps and Target Jumps off giant ramps

The map is really good. I generally enjoy playing on empty, hilly roads. There are two things about the map that strike me as a bit odd: first, the asphalt road is in such poor condition that the car keeps bouncing, which prevents it from picking up speed; second, you end up climbing above the cloud level. Aside from these points, it’s a great, long-form map.
