In 1949 Kisai built a land speed record car, utilizing a heavily modified 15.7-liter V12 engine.
It was a success as the car was able to reach speeds of over 350km/h.
The popularity of the racecar forced Kisai to build a handful of road-going versions of the Landspeeder.
Visually there was no difference between the two versions, but the V12 was undriveable on the street, so instead a "reasonable" 5.8-liter V8, pushing nearly 300hp was utilized.
The road-going cars were able to reach speeds of over 240km/h.
