Initiale Vaucluse 2017 4.2

A French fictional Grand Coupe

  1. TheCrySick
    Hi everyone :)

Today, I’m releasing my new big project, the successor of the EMG S560: The Initiale Vaucluse 2017, a French fictional Grand Coupe.

Initiale is a luxurious French brand, created in the sixties by EMG.
Vaucluse is a department in the south of France, renowned for its small medieval villages and its magnificent landscapes. it's one of my favorite departments. Just take a look at google image and you will understand! I think a Grand Coupe is the perfect car for this destination, therefore I have chosen this name for my car.

The Initiale Vaucluse is equipped with custom parts like engines and transmissions. You will find in game various configuration, and each one has its own description, so you will have all the information of the configuration you are looking at!

    The Initiale Vaucluse:
The Initiale Vaucluse is fully built with aluminum, has a handmade interior and security equipment of the highest quality. All this explain a weight of 1700kg / 3747lbs. This car is not designed for the performance, but to provide a real driving pleasure. It’s quite heavy, but the Vaucluse does not have any issues of understeer, because the weight distribution is as perfect as it can be: 53% on the front, and 47% on the rear. This car can be equiped with a 7-speed automatic gearbox, or a sportier 7-speed DCT.

    The Initiale Vaucluse GTF:
Just like the AMG GT-R is the extreme variant of the AMG GT, the new Initiale Vaucluse GTF is the extreme variant of the Initiale Vaucluse. The GTF is lighter than the standard Vaucluse (1500kg instead of 1700kg), the grip of the car has been improved, and the aerodynamic setup is more efficient. The GTF use the same engines as the standard Vaucluse, but with a new option: you will have the ability to install a supercharger on those engines. Two different gearboxes can be use on this variant, a 6-speed manual gearbox, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

    Engines:
This car can use 8 different engines. The first 3 are high revving naturally aspirated engines:
    • a 2.5L atmospheric Boxer 4 (280hp@8300rpm / 257nm@6900rpm / redline: 9000rpm)
    • a 3.6L atmospheric V8 (441hp@9400rpm / 369nm@7500rpm / redline: 10000rpm)
    • a 5.2L atmospheric V12 (639hp@8500rpm / 592nm@7100rpm / redline: 9400rpm)
Beside, you can choose to use 3 more efficient turbo engines:
    • A 1.8L turbo I3 (280hp)

    • A 2.7L turbo I5 (440hp)

    • A 4.0L turbo V6 (640hp)
But, if you really want to take care of the environment, you can go with 2 electric engines:
    • a 300hp engine
    • a 500hp engine

    Transfer case:
The Vaucluse can be equiped with 2 different transfer cases:
    • A standard RWD transmission
    • The T.A. Tech AWD system (Technologie de Transfert Amélioré): This is a custom AWD system. It’s act like a standard AWD transmission, but, if you want to have some fun, you can disconnect the front driveshaft with just one click. The transfer case will now act like a standard RWD transmission!

I think that’s all for this long description! Please, I want this car to be as perfect as possible, so feel free to send me any feedback! :)

Good job, Looks and sounds very nice! Only real problem is it looses (a lot) of traction around 100 mph, especially with sport esc on.

Hi, thanks for the 5 stars! :P

It's not so hard actually, you just have to take your time! I always use the same method:
      - I choose a real car as an inspiration (the AMG GT in that case)
      - I take a look on some pictures of a real car of the same type and the same period to produce the most detailed design. I never leave the design room before I am fully satisfied with the look of the car
      - I test it and tune it until I have the wanted result
For each of my cars, I built at least 10 prototypes, and some of them are really bad, you don't want to try the 4 prototype of this car, believe me x)
