Alpha Harzer Mountain Tuning: Expanded Modern ETK Aftermarket Support 2.3.1 - Public Release

Hi all, and happy Autumn. This has been the longest hiatus in modding I have taken since I started this time last year. Ive been working on small stuff in the background but I got rather burnt out over the summer and just needed a break from the pressure of posting. Ive been sitting on the content for this update for a while but I just needed to polish it up and do the write up which I have been burnt out to do. Thank all of you for your patience, it will be rewarded in the very near future [31 31 2F 31 37 2F 32 33]. ANYWAY enough about me, here is what you can expect from HMT 1.6:

Improved: A variety of small details
​

HMT Pure Packages:

• All Pure Hybrid turbo packages include catless downpipes, which would throw a check engine light on stock ECUs, so now when a HMT Pure turbo kit is installed in the intake slot, the CEL on the dash is illuminated. As far as I am aware, this is a novel feature to this mod.
• HMT Pure ECU software deactivates the CEL as our software accounts for use of catless downpipes, making sure that the consumer makes no sacrifices in day to day use!

• • Largely redundant but a very fun detail regardless. However, it does have a bit of functionality in that it encourages correct installation of both our software and our turbo kit together. Our ECU programing features things that the vanilla ECUs do not, and also bypasses some things that the vanilla ECUs utilize (like SCTE or software controlled turbine eficiency). SCTE is used in the vanilla hierarchy to do stage tunes without the need to change the turbocharger, and as a result those ECUs sorta overwrites some of the data that is in the part for the turbocharger. So if you use a vanilla ECU with our turbo kits, the vanilla ECU will overwrite the turbos data. So long story short, install them both. I feel like all of you were doing that anyway but in case you have a skill issue there, now you know.
• All HMT ECUs also now include shift light functionality in the gauge cluster via the turn signal indicators. Really cool detail that some real BMW tuners use IRL and thought I would figure out how to make it work here:

DS9 Piggyback:

• Implemented timeBasedLimiter default to allow for cut time variable to function on diesel engines
• Adjusted values for "RPM limit raised by" variable to +/- 500
• Changed step distance of idle rpm variable from 50 to 25 for finer adjustment
• Added increased rev-up on engine start when DS9 installed
• Changed afterfire audio file to a more BMW-esque option
  • gasoline engines only
• Upped "wastegate increase by" variable from 3psi to 4psi
• Added Shiftlight functionality like Pure ECUs
  • Auto calculated so less optimized than the tailored settings on the Pure kits but is generally close enough.

Misc:​

• Added bumper support with oil cooler
  • substitute for bash bar on non-widebody vehicles as I really don't feel like doing a whole other bash bar for it since pipe intersections are a headache.
• Removed X-pipe from titanium exhausts as it caused instability. still included in the jbeam as a comment so if you want it back you can just do that.
• Added DPF-back exhaust for 3.0L Diesel
• Added intermediate exhaust valve setting for sport mode in stock drive modes.
• Added carbon fiber rear "custom" diffuser to match vanilla custom lip and side skirts on K series
