If you are asking for people to pay real money for this, it should at least be on par with the base game Scintilla in terms of customisation, but this has very little customisation and the paid race version doesn't bring it even halfway to being worth it.

As it is, this free version handles bad, has very little customisation and imo looks silly with the giant ducts.

It's not a 1 star mod, but it has a long way to go before even the free version has enough content to make it worth considering the paid version.

it looks great, albeit steering can be a bit odd at low speeds. + lack of front turn signals, which i can't tell if its on purpose or not (the rear ones work just fine). and a few imperfections, mostly with the way the model deforms during a crash. oh, and also the automatic gearbox likes to somewhat hang around at the redline, causing it to get stuck at around 60 km/h.

with that said, i actually like the idea of real life designers using beamng to show off their designs. seriously, your designs are awesome.

I hate to say it but it just ain't good at all. The only good part about this mod is effort put into design but even that's strongly compromised by long list of issues.

    Jbeam structure:
    - there are a lot of unnecessary collision triangles while some important ones are missing (windshield, parts of the roof etc.)

    - jbeam is really unstable. relation between weights and beam stiffness of suspension nodes is all wrong, which causes constant vibration and movement of suspension nodes + insanely high stationary forces (if you drive forward and brake, something "collapses" in the car structure and static forces go into 90kN, where they shouldn't exceed 10N while stationary).

    - vibrations mentioned above cause alignment to shift independent of suspension position during driving and messes up with spring stiffnesses and damping (this will be relevant in later part of the review)

    - chassis is really soft but not in realistic way. It just doesn't want to be there and tries to shake itself to death under high speeds/g forces. You can see interior and body bending and twisting during driving.

    - tyre dimension doesn't match visual model

    3D Model & design:
    - Design overall is unique and there's visible effort and experience put into 3D model of a body and interior. Sadly Design also doesn't make any sense when it comes to aero, especially compared to car's "stats" and lore explanations in description. But this is something that can be excused as "design study". I don't like the design but I appreciate work put into it.

    - Suspension design is one of the worst crimes against structural design and good engineering practices out there, even if we don't consider next point

    - Some suspension parts are not connected - there's missing front tie rod, visual springs have insane motion ratios which wouldn't matter, as they aren't even mounted to the body (springs are connecting lower and upper wishbone which makes no sense at all)

    - There's a lot of clipping all around the car - suspension clips into the "turbines" and floor. Different parts of optional aero clips through each other. Engine clips into subframe + some exhausts lead to nowhere.

    Dynamic/kinematic design and setup:
    - Without rear wing, downforce is insanely front biased to unacceptable degree. With rear wing, downforce is still front biased which doesn't make sense considering how the car is designed and is something that is avoided in performance cars with only exceptions being specific autocross machines and high performance FWD racecars. It is neither of those.

    - Weight distribution of nearly 50:50 makes no sense for dimentsions, overall weight and engine placement of the car

    - With mentioned weight distribution, having such staggered tire widths is detrimental, even with insane power this car is capable of

    - Suspension kinematic design is highly compromised. With insanely grippy tires this car has, it shouldn't have such high rear roll center

    - Even on default (highest allowed) ride height car scrapes constantly

    - Camber near 0 on all 4 corners is just awful. Any deceleration causes rear wheels to go into positive values. With really high rear roll center and no rear toe in, it just means constant instability of the rear axle which is masked by aero induced understeer with wing options and massively wider rear tires

    - Car feels strongly underdamped for its' performance but that's propably caused by "Hub Node 1" vibrations.

    Driving experience:
    - Really not good. Ballance is not there, car feels really compromised in its' handling and is only "bailed out" by insane aero and tires.

    - Shift logic is broken, making car refuse to upshift in automatic mode when near full throttle

    - Going over any terrain imperfections cause car to shake violently and lose stability.

    - Handling is really inconsistent, as wheel loads shift with "collapsing" jbeam

Overall: There's clearly effort put into this car but it doesn't translate to good mod in the end. There are issues with the very basics which are causing snowball effect, ruining aspects of things that matter most - actually driving a car. Right now the only positive of this car is that it looks nice on screenshots.

This is one of the BEST mods on the repo. Don't listen to the other people. There's nothing wrong with using another car as a base - obviously it worked out, it's quite sad how they expect you to waste your time making something from scratch for no reason. They sit at their computer to get free, amazing content, yet they have the audacity to nitpick something that obviously has effort.

Before writing a negative review please consider feeling some grass.

Nice to finally have a lroefriendly hypercar, however this car is very poorly made and the jets make it look so silly. Crashes poorly, some key things are missing, barely any configs, manual transmission makes 0 sense. Thumbs down

Outstanding work, honestly, one of the fastest, yet exciting, grippy cars i've driven on BeamNG, ideal for race tracks. Gorgeous concept car from Saab

Of course there are a few faults, like when you brake, the car shakes more than an earthquake, when you accidentally hit Q twice, its stuck on the first gear, which makes you gear change manuall on the keyboard on the automatic gearbox. But despite these nigly little faults, its an awesome car and I hope you keep on working on this mod or make other concept Saab cars

the mod sucks quite bad, i like the gray designs style not my style but its ok however its really bad tunned and very wobbly if you want a five star review fix the wobbliness and add more suspension adjustment as now it still is too soft at max settings also the engine is taken from the scintilla wich makes intercoolers visible through the "jet engines" and add a standard steering rack beside of a quick ratio so controller players can use it without having to adjust their settings as for everything else its ok, not good, ok

    EDIT:
also abit of a missconception about the mod dev "arcade" doesnt mean low quality, you are even charging money for one of the versions so i spected better quality from this version. Also about contact patch it doesnt matter in this game yo can have 15x1 or 15x999 width wheels but wider wheels doesnt mean more grip as what gives the grip is the compound of the tyre + the wheight over it, wider tyre more contact patch with less wheight overall slimer tyre less contact patch but with higher grip

I really hate to be critical here, because the car's body itself is absolutely GORGEOUS, but the problems it has are too obvious for me to ignore.

The strangest part about this car to me is the discrepancies between this model and the original model under the Gray Design website. The website's model has a part that the intake tubes actually lead into, and the car is also missing the fins meant to be located within the rear air tunnels as well as its original suspension mounts and arms. Why were these existing parts of the 3D model not used in this mod, and why use 3D models from the base game instead?

When looking at collision triangles, there were far too many gaps. Some parts- particularly the glass ones- have no triangles whatsoever. This means these parts aren't aerodynamically simulated at all, which is a massive concern- at least to me- since the car's main selling point is ***aerodynamic design and function.*** Unfortunately, the parts lacking triangles INCLUDE the aerodynamic tunnels located on all corners of the car, the front grille piece (named the bumper), and the tailcone.

And then when I had a peek internally, I found a .DAE file (jasfree.dae) practically holding two entire Bolides worth of mechanical parts, which ultimately contributes to file bloat. If existing vanilla parts are to be reused, then please remove what you don't need in order to strip down the mod's file size to improve loading times within the game.

This car ultimately doesn't feel complete. Please continue polishing and working on this car. Become more familiar with BeamNG's car structure. There is quite a lot left to be learned and accomplished, but once these things are met, I'm certain this could be one of the best hypercar mods on the repository. If you need help building this car, I'm sure you'll find the help you need. Just look around and reach out.

From my experience with the free version of this car, the vehicle can be good for photos, but has many severe flaws in its physics mesh.

    Jbeam:
The biggest issue I can see with this vehicle is the stability of the jbeam. The average force on the nodes of a vanilla beamng car is below 20N, however on this car it is around 2500N. The lower wheel hubs experience over 50,000N of force while stationary. This causes the car to vibrate. There are also missing triangles, most noticably at the windshield. This allows objects to pass through the car. The Jbeam on the suspension has many excess beams, which may contribute to the instability issues mentioned above.

    Mechanics:
The car in its stock configurations has almost no camber. This is a problem becuase it means the car has positive rear camber during braking and lifting off throttle, which causes lift-off oversteer. Running such low camber also means that while cornering, the outside tyre can have positive camber, which is not desirable for a hypercar

    Visual:
As pointed out by some others, the mesh clips through itself in multiple places, and some parts are missing (such as tie rods) or floating (such as the steering wheel). The visual meshes also make little mechaincal sense; the rear suspension goes through the venturi tunnels, disrupting their ability to create downforce, and the springs are mounted from the upper wishbone to the lower wishbone, which would not work.

The concept of adding a lairy hypercar to beamng is good, and the individual 3d models are very nice, but there is a lot of potential left in the jbeam and kinematics of the car.

      Author's Response
The camber settings are adjustable in-game. Please feel free to adjust it to your liking. Please note that with adding camber to wheels this wide, you greatly reduce your contact with the road and effectively ride on the inner rims. It is calibrated to have full contact with the road at high speed to give maximum grip while cornering at speed.

This mod is the first, to my knowledge, to add a real hypercar to the game !

Overall, the car is really good, the jbeam is more than accurate and it drives like a beast. I really like this mod ! And it's funny to know that this car is a rebrand lore friendly version of a real Saab JAS 39 concept car.
I also like the idea of a modified Bolide frame with an overboosted Scintilla engine.

But : many parts are clipping (especially under the car, suspension, engine, shift pedal in the left door, gauge under the dashboard etc.), others are flying (steering wheel, license plate (who's deformed)), and I'd like to see semi-slick tires for a road-legal version.
Maybe also rename some parts ? Like "Lightweight windshield" to "Windshield" or "Race rear subframe" to "Rear subframe" because it's the only one available.

But with all of this, for real, it's a good mod and don't past until you downloaded it !

Once all of this is fixed by the modder, the paywall for more config gonna be okay.
