Have you ever wished in-game license plates were more realistic?
Isn't it odd that none of the in-game traffic AI cars have plates with expiration tags, or that, if there are expiration tags, that they never change, perpetually remaining static no matter what?
Do you wish you could spawn traffic cars, each with their own realistic, individually unique license plate - in place of the boring, same-old default plate - to better replicate the experience of driving in real life, especially in these times where you can barely do even that anymore?
Well, worry no longer!
This mod (currently in beta stage) adds what are probably THE MOST realistic license plates available yet for BeamNG! "How tho!?" you may ask. Great question! I have all the answers:
But...that's not the meat of it - the real mod here is found within the stickers each plate has - just like plate numbers generated by the game, each car that spawns with the plate will have an expiration sticker bearing either this year or next on it, which also has a randomized serial number! The possibilities and combinations thereof change each time you refresh the plate number!
- High-quality plate backgrounds identical to their real-life counterparts
- Custom HD fonts and clean editing
- I took a really long time to make sure everything was centered/aligned perfectly
- Proper plate number generation based on the Wikipedia articles for each state's plate so that you're virtually guaranteed to get plate numbers that were actually issued!
Now with actually accurate replica Nevada stickers!
*real plates for comparison:
Aaaaand, as an added treat, the California plates become default for all cars spawned on the Los Injuros map, and the same applies for the Nevada Plate with the Nevada Interstate map - most importantly, this includes all vehicles spawned via the traffic app!!!
Update: Added Alaska Plates!

This also becomes the default plate for the map titled "Frozen Lake".
Cheers, and please enjoy!
Currently, I've done this sticker mod for those three plates, but what's important is that these stickers could be made to work on ANY plate! The only thing I've yet to figure out is how to change the colors and positioning (lots of states issue plates with only white stickers and/or stickers on the bottom right and not the top right, like the Vermont Antique Plate I own), but I'll be looking into how to code within HTML in the coming weeks to try and figure that out.
I take requests - please, let me know if you have any and I'll try to make them happen, if possible!
Also, please PM me if you have any issues before jumping to leaving a bad review, and if you like the mod, I would really really appreciate you if you leave a good review!
"So...why is this in the 'mods of mods' section?"
The plates themselves - namely their background image decals - as well as the fonts, are the work of MrAngry from his California Plate Mod and osyu46's Nevada plate from GoogleFluff's American License Plate Pack, respectively. In that regard, all I did was make some minor edits such as updating the Nevada Plate Font to that of the more recently-issued version of that plate, and better center text + clean up MrAngry's already-spectacularly-made California Plate and Font. I then decided to apply the dynamic sticker generator from BeamNG's California plate to MrAngry's, and then modify it for use with osyu46's Nevada plate, and also make them default for the Los Injuros and Nevada Interstate maps because I hated playing on them with traffic cars which all had the ugly default plate.
Full credit and my big thanks goes to the original authors of the mods I modified, which you should totally check out because they are very good on their own!
