What started as a proof of concept turned into a mod.
I wanted to control electric motors with lua. This was possible(actually easy) and then I wondered if mecanum drive would work in BeamNG.
This was the case. Then I decided to use this on an Autobello because we all know that it is hard to park an Autobello.

About the wheel:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mecanum_wheel
It is somewhat fragile, don't rally with it
Drive modes:
P=Park
R=Reverse, all motors turn the same direction. Front wheels steer conventionally
Move with throttle+steering input:
N=Neutral. Right and left motors turn in opposite directions. Front steering is disabled,
S=Slide. FR and RL turn the same direction and FL and RR too.
D=Drive, all motors turn the same direction. Front wheels steer conventionally
Issues:
Please don't use my code, models, textures etc for other things without permission.
- Handling is somewhat poor, be careful with the rear end.
- Steering wheel doesn't rotate
- Small wheels are somewhat fragile
- No modelled engines, pretend that they are inside the wheels
