    The 1.6 Update (Alpha 2.3)

    Miscellaneous changes:
    • Reverted to stock exhaust model (with removed cats/resonator) because I was unhappy with how the previous model looked. temporary while I try and find something that looks good without texture issues
    • Increased start time and aggressive rev-up on start for 02Y stage 4 stuff
      • Emphasizes that this kit means business
    • New model for "Arsenic Werks UHP Radiator:

    • Renamed "Werks" Drivemode as "Rapidte" (velocity in french)
      • Now allows adjustment of wastegate in Urban mode and Rapidte mode independently.

    UE797 1.6L I4

    Experimental Feature:
    The tunes below for the UE797 1.6 utilize a new feature in the form of a drop down menu within the ECU slot, fuel grade! This means that both the Stage 1 tune and Stage 2 tune have options for pump gas (93 Octane (AKI)) and E85. The pump gas tunes feature ample but conservative power to allow for longevity and use of Arsenic and Rapidite mode without causing damage. The E85 tunes feature more power than their pump gas counterpart, thanks to E85s 15% increase in the maxovertorque value, allowing for more aggressive timing and increased boost without issue.

    Stage 1 ECU Tune:
    This tune is intended for use with the stock long block and the stock turbocharger, and Arsenic Werks Performance exhaust. It pushes the factory components of the UE797 to their limits without compromising reliability

    Stage 1 (93 Octane):

    • The Stage 1 Pump gas map makes 289hp (up 62hp from the stock E230 ecu) without increasing torque from the factory tune, thanks to the E230s ECU unique framework, allowing for control of the turbochargers efficiency via software. The stock long blocks torque limit is 280lbft (380NM) so leaving the torque where it is from the factory allows for safe use of Arsenic and Rapidite Mode.
    Stage 1 (E85):

    • The Stage 1 E85 map utilizes an increased torque limit thanks to the high ethanol content in the fuel. This Bumps the safe torque limit from 280lbft to 320lbft without touching any hardware. This allows for more aggressive timing settings and higher boost. This tune dyno'd in at 330hp and 306lbft (Up 103hp and 43lbft from stock) without any overtorque risk to the stock long block, an impressive feet if we do say so ourselves.

    Stage 2 ECU Tune, Long Block, and Turbo:
    We put together the stage 2 package for customers with deeper pockets and a commitment to the platform. The Stage 2 package produces a strong, reliable, and rowdy powerband sure make Bastion owners sweat. It should be noted that E85 has some day to day issues, such being more difficult to start the engine, and reduced fuel economy.

    Stage 2 (93 Octane):

    • While the Stage 2 long block does allow for a torque limit well over 400lbft, we did that for reliability and longevity, because theres no chance of putting down 450lbft in the FWD vehicles the UE797 comes in. That said, our Stage 2 pump gas tune makes 357hp and 323lbft (up 127hp and 63lbft from stock)

    Stage 2 (E85):

    • While ethanol is not necessary to push the torque limit of this long block, it does help keep combustion temps down and allow for more power and safety, so nothing wrong with that right? We dyno'd this tune in at 394hp and 377lbft (+164hp and +117lbft), still well inside of the breathing room allowed by the stage 2 long block.



    Future Update Plans:
    May integrate the fuel grade feature into the other packages for more power and range consistency. Still working on the exhaust stuff and will likely have packages out for the smaller diesel engine soon too.
