This is the 1989 Land Rover 90 V8 Hard-top

After the successful trial of the Stage One V8's and with the introduction of the new 90, 110 & 127/130's, Land Rover decided to add the Rover V8 to their choice of engines.

This is a '89 car meaning that is one of the last V8's and is one of the cars to be called a 90 before the name changed to Defender 90 in 1990.

This recreation is based on a '89 90 V8 Hard-top that my father had to sell on behave of a customer. Though it was absolutely rotten.

The engine in this recreation isn't exact but does the correct bore and stroke, correct compression ratio, correct fuelling and the correct max power output of 134 bhp.

The overall car isn't exact but I can bring that all down to the algorithm of Automation.

The weight of the car is lighter than the actual (a whole 154 KG lighter), even with the body panels and chassis at the lowest quality, So the fuel economy is better than the actual. The car also has a top speed of 122 MPH which is 37 MPH faster than the actual car. I will warn you that you shouldn't go above 112 MPH as that the max speed that the actual car chassis was tested at.
