1980 ETK 1600 series ES-2600 1.1

1980 ETK 1600 series..a car so surprisingly forgettable from such a prestigious car brand, when you think about it, is actually quite surreal. The ETK 1600 series was you're regular Executive class German sedan from the late 70's to early 80's. Although one interesting thing about the 1600 series is that it was one of ETK's last cars to use their double grill signature on the front from up untill the mid 2000's! (notice how the ETK I-series, a car from the mid to late 80's, didn't have it's signature grille). So why did the ETK 1600 series surprisingly not sell well? Welp two reasons. One it was using an engineering layout from 5 years earlier, which was before they had multi point injection, making the car mediocre in power and mpg compared to other premium sedans from the time. It's also not well known for it's styling lets just say. Having plastic on areas of the bumper that doesn't correspond well with the trim on the side really. Despite all these cons, this car is still considered a nice premium classic car nowadays, and you might see one rolling around still if you're lucky.

One more thing, I actually luckily found an old paper advertisement for this car lying around in a flea market somewhere, it's not in great condition but it's still pretty interesting nonetheless.



(As a mod though, it features working light fixtures, an interior, and a distinctive horn, I hope you like it!)
