This is a Honda CRX-esque body for the covet, I tried to keep it as simple as possible, so no new stuff that would require the presence of materials.cs I did try to make it a mod compatible with AR16B's 5door covet mod, really I did, but I couldn't get it to work properly, and I really can't be bothered anymore. It doesn't even zip like a proper mod, have no clue why it won't work zipped, don't care atm. Maybe later i will fuse this with my 4x4 covet mod and make it all standalone but right now this is all. Gabester- original Covet AR16B- body hierarchy from his 5door covet mod Atomix- customizing it, etc. SkinRocks- helping fix it. INSTALL: unzip it so that the final path is BeamNG.drive/mods/vehicles/hatch/<files> I know, it is not supposed to be done that way but i couldn't work it out properly right now.
if you add a vehicles folder inside the zip (covet_btx.zip/vehicles/hatch/files) it should work fine. I tried, it's in-game but somehow the suspension collapses. But that can be my fault as I am messing around with the 5-door mod. (although I didn't alter the suspension parts) For the 4x4 mod; if you add a an uniquely named folder inside the hatch folder, you can add a materials file inside this folder containing only the added materials. This way it won't conflict with original content and/or other mods As I'm updating the 5-door mod atm, if you wish I can add some slots to the body jbeam so a future 4x4 mod and my 5-door mod can be compatible with each other.
I did try that, but when i do that and don't touch the files anyhow else the original 3door body is not there, not selectable, so if you spawn one in the original config it goes to 0; 0; 0 on the map and spawns that untextured license plate like it always does, works if the btx body is selected. I have no clue why it does that to me, i've packed and repacked it a bunch of times, put it in mods and it does this and just this. I gave up after that and released it like this. a 4x4 slot would be nice, tho
Nope, those were actual Honda CRX wheels from Forza. not included, neither is the popup lights frontclip.
I have problem with rear suspension; it breaks when car spawns. I have deleted other hatch-related mods, still got this problem.
Oh snap. I did forget about that. the main jbeam of the btx is based on a older covet jbeam, so it got broken through the updates. I am still on 0.4.0.6 and i based this on the covet from that version, and that is uncompatible with the latest hatch version. I suppose i could add my suspension into the pack, but it might handle worse because it was not meant for that version. EDIT: alright, updated and added a spare rear suspension for the BTX to use, see if that is any help.
welp, the problem is clear and there is not much i can do about it. It will work for whoever will have a older version, like the 0.4.0.6 [On Hold] until i will be able to run a more recent version
Downloaded Version 1.1, hatch_btx.jbeam, line 33, running gear has ["hatch_suspension_R","hatch_suspension_R", "Ibishu Covet Rear Suspension"], changed to ["hatch_suspension_R_btx","hatch_suspension_R_btx", "Ibishu Covet Rear Suspension"] seems to work now. "hatch_wheel_R_sport_btx" Flexbody is missing "hatch_crxwheel" swapped it back to stock hatch sport rims updated "btx_sport.pc" files to load the correct parts. It's working on my version 4.2.2 with no other hatch modes installed at all. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kk9y7h7qzeaovqz/hatch(shin).rar?dl=0 Edit: wont let me upload a zip directly so adding link to dropbox
Alright, if you say it works, okay. Zipped it with ShinRocks' fixed files (+added in op credits) and changed thread prefix. as 1.3
