Well, I speculate that ... (Throws dart at board) ... when the Miramar gets its remaster, there's going to be a rally variant introduced to go with fairly recent addition of rally suspension to the Miramar and general improvements to rally tires across the entire vehicle lineup.
Miramar rally suspension has been around for a while I think. I remember playing with it over a year ago
the burnside rally variant, although unrealistic and unimaginably silly, would easily be one of my new favourite cars maybe someone did actually use a 50s ameriboat sedan as a rally car, who knows?
That's why I guessed it. One of my favorite things in the whole wide world of motorsport is the 1976-to-mid-eighties SCORE class 6. These cars were racing in the famous Baja 500 and Baja 1000 races. Granted, a number of these quasi-homebrew contraptions were later-model cars (like the famous Snortin' Norton Chevy Nova), but a lot of the smaller independent teams seemed to favour late-fifties American iron.
Nice idea this one! It would look perfect dressed in some reproduction of a classic Datsun rally livery (like the red livery of the Datsun Bluebird 510 or that of the 240Z)! --- Post updated --- I don't think it would look unrealistic and silly. You need soft suspension for absorbing the bumps, potholes and planted rocks of a soil/gravel road. Plus, the Sweds have been doing it for some years!
I have made this rally Ford Falcon as a personal config for the Bluebuck & let me tell you, it is great fun. I tried to keep a more-or-less same weight to power ratio, but the big downside with the Bluebuck is that it is 700-800kg heavier than that Falcon, so it doesn't take faster corners too well even with narrower tires, but the experience of rallying a 60's land yacht is definitely unique I think it would make for a great addition to the official configs
I remember someone made a falcon xb mod a few years back, and it was pretty high quality for its time. I think there was a rally config with that too. I might just try and put pbr in it. Cool config though . Anyway, back on topic. I was remembering this UI app that accidentally got leaked in 0.9. What could it be?
Maybe some kind of GPS system with addresses and arrows on the floor to guide you.. But there is already something similar with the last update (you can select a place on the map and the game will game you with some arrows on the floor (for the ones who didn't know))
I actually think I'm using the UI app you are talking about. However, career mode is most likely going to be used in a pre-existing map, so what would we need IRL coordinates for? I don't think BeamNG has the resources to make a MSFS-like map.
Your creation looks great! The Bluebuck is a larger car (around 5.5m) than the Falcon, so it's natural for it to weigh more. But I don't think it's gonna be a problem for the Gavril V8s (especially the two larger ones, the 353ci and 423ci), right?
thats absolutely awesome i feel like when the burnside gets a remaster, it and the bluebuck will probably get something like that
