Hello everyone! This is an updated version of the car trailer made by dummiesman ages ago, updated by zagdima. I have permission to release this, and thought I should on a thread so it's not some anonymous link floating around in Reddit. ~~This isn't a full revamp of it, just updated enough to get it working. Some few things I know are it's got no suspension so it can be rather uncomfortable, and cars tend to slide off the rear end of the top floor. Otherwise it's pretty fun.~~ I've now taken the time mainly to update the kingpin which was incompatible after 0.31 but I've also fixed a few things and added QoL features such as changable colour, lights*, triggers and hopefully fixed the cars sliding off the rear end of the top deck. As always, please let me know if there are unintended game-breaking bugs about it that I've missed. Otherwise, enjoy it! As part of a small update I did mid-February, it now has a config that works with the pre-0.30 fifth wheel and kingpin system To everyone updating from pre-26/12/23 version, make sure to delete the old version and sell it from career if you own it! Spoiler: Full changelog Made compatible to new coupling system - It has no air brakes so it just needs coupling for lights input and to tow it. Please note the trailer sits off the ground a bit, so a truck with adjustable suspension is recommended to couple efficiently. Optimized model and renamed in more organized manner - Reduced size, removed unused landing gear, added rear wheel hubs Added a few rigidifiers to make it not as floppy Cleaned up and optimized Jbeam files Gave textures to landing gear so it's not ugly white Increased weight slightly (Around 3.6 tons now as to 2.2 before) Attempted to fix cars sliding off of top rear edge (Updated all deck tris to asphalt groundmodel) Fixed material incompatibility and updated to new materials Added ability to change colour Added working lights (*Only visual, no flares or props) Added triggers Added new thumbnail, names and adjusted price for career Permission proof: Pics: Controls: G - Toggle landing gear T - Lower / raise top teck Y - Extend / retract entry ramp Credits: @Dummiesman - Original creator @zagdima - Updating it Me - Updating it further
Woah... First we saw this fixed version in a video with a google drive download, now it's on the forums! One down, 2 or 3 to go!
Love the mod, but unfortunately it's killing all lighting, window and chassis textures on my T-Series. Even tried Safe Mode, with only this mod active, and it still killed those textures Either way, the moment I deactivate the mod, the textures immediately return, without even having to clear cache. If it's a problem on my end, sorry. Wish I could figure it out.
That's super weird because I don't think anyone else and neither did I have any issues with it (Though I havent tried it in latest version i dont think). Suffice to ask, are you running the latest version of beamng?
I never had that issue, the only issue I have is one small part of the trailer being a very unrealistic white, could be a problem on my end, but it doesn't break any T-series textures on my end.
yeah, it breaks the t series glass, mudflaps and indicator textures in the newest version it also appears in the wrong part of the vehicle selector and doesn't connect to the 5th wheel at all
I know the selector thing because it's not intended to be great, he just converted it to simply work Also it works fine for me
Dunno, looks normal to me. Also just checked the files and I dont think theres anything that can directly effect the T series. However I am using the GTG T series mod so that might fix it somehow
Well again as stated, it's only a slight update to make it work and even that update has been done years ago, so it's barely working just to work. I don't think anyone will update this on our side unless someone else decides to give it a go
This mod basically disables PBR on the T-Series and that's why it makes it look weird. If you delete the materials file in the mod and put the T-Series materials file there instead, it should be fixed.
