I wanted to talk about it in the 0.22 discussion thread but I didn't took the time to do it, so I'll start here.
Im going to be honest, I always hated the automatic gearboxes in this game. But the recent changes on DCTs that started in the 0.21 update IIRC was a really nice step in the right direction, I cannot say that they are perfect as they still have a few brutal gear shifts that removes a typical caracteristic of dcts : the fact that you can't feel a gear change, but now they are still far more drivable than they used to. Im still a bit annoyed by the gear shift decisions, but I already talked about it an enough amount of time to explain it again.
Anyway thanks for improving them (I assume that it's you who worked on it as you are asking for our opinion), you finally managed to get rid of the trashbox that dcts used to be, the amount of improvements you made on them is absolutely stunning :) .
Now I would enjoy a lot to have improvements on TC automatic transmissions, as they turn me crazy after a few minutes of driving and it always end up with the car being sent over a cliff to evacuate my frustration :D .

Yeah this makes sense. I think most vehicles can be removed from a build and mostly everything works as it should. So I guess it's easy just to replace the zip of the WIP Remaster Bolide with the public version and vice versa.

I was thinking, how come we don't have many options for advertisements on the bus and taxis? even just using current advertisements from official maps and sizing them down would go a long way to adding variety as we only have 2 options currently.

Cool that you use AL13 :)
Definitely agree about the lighting, first thing (naturally one might say lol) i thought of when i saw the pickup scene, the lighting looks very natural. I cant wait for any news about graphics/rendering, maybe PBR or things like vanilla Tonemap changes. When i see things like the SSAO change in 0.21 (i think it was 0.21) and now bloom being broken(?) in 0.22 i cant help but think theyre doing intresting things under the hood...

Bolide is the worst of the bunch. Hasn't been redone since the original game iirc.

I believe that this upcoming update will probably have a theme of remastering some of the oldest content in the game.

In terms of levels, I would be very surprised if Gridmap V2 didn't ship with the next update.

In terms of a ground up vehicle remaster, the Bolide is the most likely candidate solely due to the fact that last summer we saw what appeared to be a WIP Bolide remaster. We have not had any teasers of this sort for any other vehicles.

For vehicle content passes, the most likely candidates are the Grand Marshal and H-Series. Stoat already confirmed the H-Series would be getting additional content in some future update, and the Grand Marshal's remaster is clearly WIP still, with a lot of configs being explicitly referred to as WIP in the 0.17.1 changelog.

I use manual any time i can so i'm not the best audience, but sometimes no news is good news. If you're not hearing about it, it's probably better :D

Why would they show new bolide, when the teaser is about new gridmap? That doesn't make any sense.

They talk about this one. Doesn't have to be necessary a new bolide. But its true that it really needs an update. Especially, when the car is one of its kind in the game.

Should be between 0:24 and 0:29

Edit: This is not confirmed as a remastered Bolide, but most people here agree that it is.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if the remainder of the grand marshal's remastering/content gets put off for a while, they seem to prioritise content which is:
    1. from new vehicles and is easily retrofitted into similar existing vehicles (barstow/bluebuck engine models, legran remaster)
    2. Very clearly outdated, or poorly made in the first place
    3. applicable to multiple vehicles (90s gavril engines/chassis)

ever since 0.17 (the bluebuck update), the grand marshal wouldn't seem to bad to a player only looking at it on a surface level.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see the pessimas/covet/bx get a new set of engine models, looking at the bit of content the covet and bx got a few updates ago.

These little updates that covet and GM got could mean either: making them reasonable with current vehicles or a precursor for something bigger. I'm myself satisfied with GM, and covet after update feels very nice to drive, but it could use 4-doors and new body.

Still Bolide imo needs update the most. I feel like the suspension is just not right with bolide. At higher speeds it just feels like a wood plank.
Plus the body tries to be testarosa, but one class down, which is not very italian.

The covet texture-wise is still really unfinished, (by modern standards) kinda like how the legran was at first release.

If you think the suspension on the bolide is bad currently, you would have absolutely hated driving it when it was first introduced. If you wanted to even hope of getting it to drive in a straight line you had to be one heck of a skilled driver.

    So, "French map" speculation again.

As far as I can remember, that one French Sunburst started out as yet another generic American police car, and was switched to French after... something that might be political to mention. I think? But the FCV included, without much fanfare, more French police cars. That might just be because it's a French car, but seriously, the next map needs to be in France just so we have somewhere to use these cars.

To set it apart from Italy, the devs could resist the temptation to put it in the Alps or along the Riviera and have it be somewhere in the central or northern area instead. Farmland, high-speed roads, that sort of thing.

Late here, but I have literally no opinion since I always use manual transmission or kick the DCT to manual mode.

As to cars getting remastered: someone would have to refresh my memory on the remastered Bolide in the Industrial Site trailer, but whether the Bolide is getting a remaster or not, it desperately needs one. It's one of the OG five cars, and yet is still one of the most primitive and content-poor. But then, every car needs something, even the Wendover, and there are a few, like the Moonhawk, 200BX, and Miramar, that could be argued to need full overhauls just as badly.

Someone a few pages back speculated that the Bolide would come out in the summer update and asked something along the lines of "what goes best with summer?" My immediate thought (despite living in Alaska) was "a convertible", and I've seen some indication that the devs want to make convertibles a thing, but can't get the sound system working with them to their satisfaction. Maybe they're making progress on that front?

As for what every car needs.

-200BX: One notch above "content-poor" at this point, and as I said a few pages back, it needs a slower version to balance it as a potential starter car. A convertible or @Godzilla!'s old Glassroof would also be welcome as the S13 was available in convertible form IRL. A version with a boxier, more-formal Silvia-style roofline is not necessary; it can be easy to forget but the 200BX is already a notchback coupe.

-Miramar: Extremely strange selection of gauges on this one, and the tach can't read out the GTz's full rev range. Relatively content-poor as well.

-Hopper: I could swear this thing used to actually have a fuel-injected intake, but then it got removed? Maybe it was a mod? I don't remember anymore. It needs it back, and tuning options for at least the I6.

-Moonhawk: Relatively primitive and content-poor, except for engine tuning. Sedan and wagon are necessities at this point, coupe utility is a possibility, convertible is also sort of a possibility except that this was right around when US manufacturers stopped making convertibles for a while. T-tops are a much stronger possibility. I still say LeGran should be a trim level, with vinyl or half-vinyl roof and silly rear quarter windows. Older versions should make more power than newer ones. Possibly more phases of facelift, along the lines of @AR162B's ancient mod. Man, there's a lot that could be done with this one.

-Pessima '96: One of the most content-poor vehicles in the entire game; has had hillclimb aero parts but no matching performance upgrades for a long, long time. As far as I know the V6 still has few/no tuning options compared to the I4 (I was wrong on this one, the I4 has no tuning options either). Now that the LeGran remaster has kind of thrown off the rivalry between the LeGran Sport and Pessima Sport, I wonder what they're going to do with this one. As far as body styles go, a coupe is iffy but a wagon is almost a necessity.

-Pessima '88: Still not the most content, but now the GTz makes a better rival for the hottest LeGran than the newer Pessima Sport does (which I suppose makes sense). Relatively few trims compared to the epic config spam that blesses more recent/recently remastered vehicles. A coupe is a possibility; a wagon is basically required, an aero hatch-sedan is a possibility as well.

-Pigeon: The game's memeiest vehicle, languishing unloved for years.

-Wendover: Quite well-made as the most recent car, but all those AWD-specific parts just for racing versions and the FATT? Surely there would need to be at least a homologation special to allow those parts to be used in sanctioned racing, and would a manufacturer go to that much effort with no road-going version planned anyway? Also, when convertibles become a thing, this is definitely a candidate.

Seems like every major vehicle remaster gets atleast one new major new body style (Charro/Kentarch howeveryouspellit, LXT Roamer, Legran wagon) so I wonder what to expect for all of the other official vehicles on the remaster waiting line? A Grand Marshall wagon, Moonhawk Sedan, Coupe Covet, Bolide Targa or homoligation special, Passenger van H Series all would make sense.

Did the T Series ever get an engine remaster?

I could write several pages of my own wishlist for upcoming content, but just to address this one. As far as I can recall, the Covet and 1990's Pessima are the only FWD cars without optional AWD at the moment; I assume both will get it. Both have historical counterparts that offered an F4 layout of some description.
