Yes, it's very possible, but we don't want to remove old editor when new one is still missing some - not many at this point - features. I honestly want to be sure that everyone, especially modders won't have any issues with making maps because we forgot to implement something
AYE WHO THE FUCK ADDED A UNICYCLE i know this is sort of off topic but this...just...this...i know what the next update is there's also a mattress so...i'm just gonna lay all this info out here and yall can run with it if you want. speculate till your fingers crack
why would the walk mode player be a unicycle when you can just press f? was it always there after the walk-mode update?
The walk mode player moves using a ball-like nodeplacement, I don't think there's a way to hide a vehicle (which the player technically is) inside the vehicle selector, which is why it's shown there. No, it wasnt there before the update.
It was always there since 0.22, and I think they should have made it unselectable, but it works, just crashes the game when you spawn one while already being one in walk mode.
ah, my mistake. thanks for telling me though, cause i would've totally assumed it was some kind of april fools thing
It was known that there will be a mattress even before the update, I posted a picture from the documentation here. You can make configs hidden, but probably not whole vehicles. I see that I am pretty lucky that I have never used the old editor and started with the new one
I mean if they coded the option to make configs invisible then why can't they code an option to make whole vehicles invisible too?
Just to make it impossible to spawn the walking mode vehicle while walking because it crashes the game
I would actually disagree. East Coast and/or the midwest have a small-town feel, which would make them better suited to the start of your archetypal rags-to-riches progression. Utah would be a viable starting point, too, but of the current maps I would choose Italy as the main late game setting. It's exotic, well-populated enough that it doesn't feel like the middle of nowhere, and is at least selectively affluent. It has a rich, storied car culture and is already well-established as a driving Mecca, something New England and the flyover states are not. And while Career needn't be bound to real-world logic, the money needed to drive from state to state (like, say, Utah to East Coast) is a fraction of the money you'd need to fly overseas*. If the game started in Italy, you'd be bound to Italy until you gained enough cash to visit every other map, virtually all at once: starting in USA has a better sense of progression, given current map content. *let alone to transport one or more vehicles between continents. Again, Career doesn't need to be uncompromisingly bound to real-world costs and logistics, but overseas travel should probably be limited until the career's second or third act.
The twitter thing was cute. I'll be surprised if someone doesn't turn it into a GIF and use it as an avatar or forum meme. Jokes aside, I like the way those fancy chrome wheels look on the Pigeon. They look a little like they were robbed off of a hot dog cart, but if I was modifying a Pigeon-like vehicle IRL, I would probably start by seeing if I could find a hot dog cart with custom wheels.
They have to be at least flirting with the idea of a Pigeon remaster, I'm sure it's not just a hilariously cruel joke, right? ....right?
