It would make more practical sense to have the Prius drivetrain in the cheaper Corolla wagon, but I guess they gotta upsell these buyers who want a bigger 1.5 hybrid than the Yaris.
Priuses are bland tbf, but their hate isn't exactly deserved. What I can say is that it hasn't really been the looker, for sure.
A lot of people hate them, so I was joking a bit about it. In all seriousness I do like their interiors but the older ones are IMO ugly. Like, really ugly.
Look, Priuses are awesome as dailies. 50mpg Comfy Reliable cheap parts insurance is cheap easily found for cheap practical Will it set your pulse on fire? No. Are they offensive to drive? No. They’re perfect as practical economy cars. The hate they get is completely unwarranted because they’re not intended and/or marketed as enthusiast cars.
1. Have you heard of inflation? 2. The old US MPG system is hillariously optimistic. My car should get 30mpg highway if it was to be trusted, but I get about sixteen. It’s not accurate at all compared to the read world. Priuses aren’t performance cars or some sort of miracle product, but they’re perfectly good.
